Tractor Supply

City girl moves out to the country. «There’s such thing as a Tractor Supply place. Do tractors need their own retail stores?» *head spins* apparently so. Oh ya, and they have dog food and stuff. That’s what I was there for. As I was checking out the older lady at the front was really nice and even made sure I entered into their drawing I had completly missed. Fingers still crossed on that one. A a younger black boy working there damn near insisted on carrying out my 50lb bag of pooch chow. Wow… country hospitality IS a thing. :)

I’ve never stepped into a tractor supply store before… so I had no idea what to expect.
Went in looking for some wood pellets to use for my new bunny’s litter, was distracted by all the random stuff they had in there. Little mini toys, popcorn, candies. what?
They had a large variety of things for small pets and horses.
Found what I needed after searching around since the worker wasn’t really sure what I was asking for. Seems like you could find any farm and animal needs here. Will stop by again once I need more litter.

I grew up in a rural area so any trip back to my childhood, in this case via TSC, is always a treat. And, you can always find some interesting food that seems to be available only to the tractor Culture. I

Hooo weee! Tractor Supply is just what the name says. Supplies for all farming needs as well as lawn and garden and farm animal/​pet care, too. Plus, there’s much more.
Inside this friendly establishment you’ll find farming tools, gardening supplies, lawn care and necessities for any agricultural feat you may undertake. For your animals and pets you’ll find: grooming supplies, housing and bedding (for dogs and cats), horse riding equipment, bird houses and seed/​feeders, squirrel feeders and food, «invisible» pet fences, pet leashes and pet food. The variety of pet food, while high quality brands, was rather limited. The fact that they had foods for wild and mixed wild/​domestic animals
There is good brand clothing for wee ones to adults and the prices are very reasonable with many sales going on at all times. Jeans, hoodies, flannel shirts, camouflage clothing, coveralls, overalls (you can’t be a classic farmer without some good ol’ denim overalls and a straw hat), caps, work shoes and boots as well as cowboy boots are sold here. There are a pair of cowboy boots sold here that have a nice vintage-​y, classic and versatile style that almost make this Yankee/​foreigner (who can actually farm and garden) consider buying her first pair.
Cute toddler riding tractors and adorable rocking horses, toy tractors, trucks, horse figurines and other farm related playthings can be found here to keep the young’uns happy. Feeling farm life festive? Tractor supply has seasonal décor, also. There’s something for everyone and every holiday or occasion here.
