If only I could give them 0 stars. Let’s start with she cut me, she filed y nail so much that she cut my skin AnD still charged me. I had never heard of the place before. Now I K kw why. These good reviews have got to be BS. THEYARETHEWORST. I WALKEDOUTWITHNOPAINT. I was so angry. She offered to put powder over my burning skin. But that would have been painful so I passed and just went else where. I was better off paying more money and going to hilltop mall for better service. I ended up paying to get my nails done twice! Very unsatisfied. It should have been free! Worst job ! Worst nail shop ever

Both my gel manicure and regular pedicure are equal messes. There’s paint on the tips of my toes, and gel color and top coat on the tips of my fingers and under my fingernails. There’s paint on my cuticles that were poorly trimmed. For whatever reason my manicurist used the cuticle trimmers to scrape off a layer of my nail.

Decided to give this a place a try since I was picking up my dry cleaning next door. Just a simple mani pedi, shouldn’t be too bad. Right? WRONG! First, when I walked in, I was greeted with«what do you need?» I told her and she told me to choose a color(their selection of colors regular/gel are ok but limited) After I had chosen my color, I was directed to sit in the spa chair. My manicurist(curly hair name Mai I believe) started working on me immediately. No conversation at all what so ever except the occasional questions of «cut or file down?» «square ok?» Other than that, she was basically mute. She is was very thorough and my feet felt very clean afterwards.(she cut me on my index toe, so that hurts) Except she didn’t even massage my feet/legs. She just rubbing lotion on my legs and that was it. Her paint job on my feet were ok. She did not shape my toe nails very well though. You can definitely tell one big toe nail is longer than the other.(I’ll let it slide because it is winter time and rainy that people will probably not see my toes. After my toes were done, I was directed to take a seat at her table. She then started my manicure. She was also very thorough when doing my manicure until she got to the massage part. Sane thing as my legs, she rubbing lotion on and done. She then painted my nails and I had noticed she missed the sides/corners(huge pet peeve of mine) I pointed it out and she tried to fix it with the second coat. She finished but did not clean the polish that she got on my skin very well. Probably will not be returning. $ 30 for a bad polished mani pedi is not worth it at all. I’ll be going back to Kim’s Nails in Hercules.

My favorite nail spot. I have tried almost every nail place in the area and vanity nails are the only ones that do a consistent perfect job. They have maintained my acrylics for the longest and always are on point. I also get pedicures here and they always come out perfect. The only place I trust to do my nails.

This the go to spot for me and my sister. I always get a regular gel mani and she gets acrylic. She usually gets coffin shape or oval shaped done by MICHAEL and the owner herself in which many people may think she is rude but she pays attention to detail and my sister nails always lookin right. Michael and the other guy have done my gel mani and it’s always 25 $ and they last a long time. They’re all equally good at pedis and make sure to clean my chubby stubby toes since I do work 8 hours a day in sneakers all the time. I give them a 4 star because they have a good selection on gel polishes, prices and it’s clean. They do permanent make up and eyelashes here also, I seen a customer walk out with eyelash extensions and they looked really nice.

It’s a quiet little shop across from JC Penny Hilltop. I went on a Sunday afternoon and it was mellow with just 2 other customers. The ladies did a good job on my nails and toes. I paid $ 14 for a refill and $ 20 for a spa pedicure. I think that’s superrrrrrr affordable. Tip them well — their prices and SERVICE deserves it.

Absolute worst mani and pedi Ive ever gotten. The job was so sloppy. The pedi only lasted 3 days until it started chipping away. the gel manicure only lasted 2 days until it started lifting and the way she cut my cuticles caused lots of hang nails to form. After 3 days the lifting worsened and it started chipping and cracking. The gel on my thumbs even started discoloring. Went to complain and they sent me away to come back 2 days later. It didnt even last a week until it got so bad it was basically non-existent. When i came back, the manager, who did my gel mani and pedi, refused to give me a full refund and blamed my nails for the lifting instead of her own poor work. I didnt even get half of what i paid for back. Never coming back here again.

I love this Nail Spa! I have been a very satisfied customer since 1998 when the shop was located in another shopping center. My family and in-laws go out of their way to come here for the great services. I was sooo relieved when I found out the shop moved to this new and improved location that was still close to home. The owner is very friendly and grateful for her customers. The entire staff is very experienced and good at what they do. The shellac nails are wonderful. The pedicures are a long lasting treat. The waxing services are very good as well. The prices are well worth it and the shop is open 7 days a week! This is one of the best spas.

I absolutely love Vanity Nails! I drive from Emeryville to get my nails done by Mai. Mai does an amazing and very consistent job. Great customer service and amazing prices. The color selection isn’t great but I usually bring my own nail polish.

Rude! I called in advance and asked for a pedicure. I was told I could come in an hour. When I arrived, the two technicians were at work on other patrons. One doing a mani, and the other doing a pedi. It was obvious I would have to wait, but I wasn’t sweating it. After hanging out for 15 minutes, a lady comes in and the technician doing the mani says, «Are you the one who called?» The lady said yes. The technician turns to me and says I would have to wait an additional 30 minutes because she was going to take the lady who came in after me first. I protested and said that I called too and came in first so why did I have to wait? No response. Not cool! I walked out and will never go back. It just wasn’t right. I took my business elsewhere.

I have been a customer of Vanity/Hilltop nails for 18 years. I use to only see Rose but when she moved away I went to Lana who is great but I tried Mai and she is one of the best!

Been coming to Vanna’s since she was in San Pablo, over 15 yrs. I only see Lana. I can fall asleep and wake up with perfect nails just how I like them. Vanna also does facials and waxing.

I trust you Unilocalers, so when Zahra Salon received bad reviews, and I needed a quick manicure in the Hilltop Mall area, I stumbled into Hilltop Nail Spa. It was an acceptable manicure — not the best I’ve received — and the staff was pleasant. Probably a better alternative to Zahra’s, but I wouldn’t make a regular habit of it.
