If I am presented with the option to shop at either CVS or Walgreens, I will definitely select Walgreens. Even though it is located a bit further from me, I will go out of the way to shop here. I just feel much more comfortable in their stores. I feel I don’t have to worry about being robbed by the sketchy meth heads of Richmond if I’m making a few small purchases here.

There are several pharmacies in this town, but I’ve found no other as caring and knowledgeable as this one. Through the 7 months of my mother’s battle with pancreatic cancer, they’ve been extremely caring and helpful.
If there is one drawback to doing business there, it’s the corporate office. They could not make a deal for 2012 with ExpressScripts, which handles the military pharmacy plan. They also slowed down the processing of some expensive medicines. I’m sure they had good, financial reasons for their decisions, but it hurts the patient and the view of the pharmacy.
The rest of the store is well-kept. Keep your coupons handy and make sure the prices match, but you have to be careful at all Walgreen’s stores.
