Wendy’s

Love the food, but service is usually slow, don’t go if your in a big hurry. If I remember correctly only one register.

Years ago, I visited Wendy’s because of their value menu. I’d get 3 items and have lunch for about $ 3.00. They weren’t really great but they weren’t worse than Taco Bell.
Today, they offer those same items for a lot more money and they’ve adjust portions and ingredients. This evening, the Caesar Side Salad had tomatoes (really?) but no bacon. However, they ran out of salads and made this one fresh for me.
In any case, the junior bacon cheeseburger was consistently Wendy’s. i.e., it has very little taste (and it was just above warm, almost like Jack in the Box), so it doesn’t interfere with the salad’s taste. I remember when the chain was young, we’d hoped that freshly-​made burgers would taste like a backyard cookout, but they did not and we felt a bit betrayed and went back to McDonald’s or Burger King or even Burger Chef.
These days, Wendy’s is there and if there was nothing else, I’d eat there more often, I’m sure. At least the staff was friendly and quick. Seeing the manager run around the store putting together a salad was satisfying. I don’t believe I’ve ever seen a manager move so quickly.
