I’ve lived in the area and known about Zoe’s for over a decade but for some reason, I never stopped in, mainly because I wasn’t sure if they sold cookies direct to the public. I recently found out that they sure do! This is the factory, not a retail store but they sell their extra cookies factory-direct to the public and to neighbors, and they are really good cookies! I’ve only tried the vegan chocolate chip and regular peanut butter cookies so far and both were yummy. If I owned a café, restaurant or store, I would definitely want an account with Zoe. The woman working the front desk is also really friendly.

Best pre-packaged chocolate chip cookie I’ve ever had(sorry, you don’t get the«unconditional best», that honor remains with my Mom). Purchased at the OFJCC in Palo Alto. Serious goodness in that cookie!

These cookies are amazing! Give them as gifts, take them to parties and they will make you popular. Now, it is important that a bakery can produce some classics. Since cookie is in the title they must be able to make at least one of the classics well: sugar cookie, peanutbutter, chocolate chip or oatmeal. They excel at the chocolate chip cookie. As such, they have licsence to create or embellish other types of cookies. Let’s stay on the chocolate chip thread, shall we? They have a chunky monkey cookie! Sounds weird. I don’t like the ice cream but I adore the cookie. Tell people to give you these as gifts!

A friend brought me a Zoe’s double chocolate chip cookie from a Chamber of Commerce mixer — it was seriously the best cookie! Not too sweet, not huge, perfect balance of chewy + soft.

They sell leftover cookies and other baked delicious things in the front of the office. They may be the best cookies EVER. I may have them post my picture on the wall like a person who bounced a check with a message for the employees to not sell to me anymore. I need to stay out of there. It’s a dangerous, delicious cookie trap.

«gobble gobble’… nope, don’t take off your glasses… I know it ain’t Turkey Day… but that’s the most uniquitous sound last night, as I brought over an array of cookies from Zoe’s for a get-together. Munched UP and seal of approval given!!! What a hit… Macaroons are fluffy! like little Eskimo domes… chocolate chip, cranberry, peanut butter… and did we even DARE bust open the 85% chocolate and the Clover bucket of cookies and cream ice cream… this, AFTER polishing off good wine, incl. bubbly? YES sirreee =P *alllmost* as popular was my truffle oil chevre bean salad with European greens and garlic croutons(OHHHH fatuous me…)

when you walk in, it’s like any small business lobby, not at all like a bake shop. but don’t worry, you can walk in a buy individual cookies even though their main business is selling and delivering to other eateries. i always walk in planning to get one or two cookies to satisfy my 3pm hunger, but then i always walk out with half dozen or so because they are all delicious. the cookies are thick and soft, but not overly soft that they stop being cookies. small, medium, large cookies: 50, 75, 125 cents. cash and exact change preferred. sometimes there are no one in the front office. like i said, they’re not a retail bakery.

I am by no means a vegan(read my other reviews full of meat references if you have any doubts) but I love love love these cookies! The lemon bars are my favorites! It’s so hard to find a real, true artisan cookie in the Bay Area, but this is it. I was gifted a small box of Christmas cookies, including pecan sandies, a chocolate one with a cracked top and powdered sugar and of course the wonderful sugar shortbread cookies. I had to restrain myself from eating the whole damn box because half of it was for my boyfriend but it was a struggle, I will tell you. These cookies are a bit hard to come by because it is a small local-owned business that doesn’t have a super huge distribution, but if you email them they can provide you retail locations. Yay!

Since I’m newly vegan, i have been searching on Unilocal to find new vegan friendly spot’s & was super excited when i found Zoe’s on here. I was a little upset to find out that the location is a whole sales place and not a bakery that you could go to, sit down, and enjoy some yummy cookies n coffee. I was greeted by two lovely Lady’s and there were some cookies in the front. I had the banana chocolate cookie that was TODIEFOR! huge cookie that coast $ 1.25. The cookie deserves 5 stars but i only give Zoe’s 4 stars because the location is not what i expected.

OMG I FUCKINGLOVETHESECOOKIES! I found them at the Berkeley Bowl, and I am stocking up every time I go, because guess what — the ones without chocolate chips don’t have refined sugar! Yes!!! Score!!! And what is amazing is that they taste amazing(sweet, fresh, wholesome, delicious!) and they don’t make me feel sick in either a ew, that was a partially-unbaked-vegan-cookie kind of way, or in a ew, that was full of white-ass sugar kind of way. Plus, I am super-impressed that the sugar they do use is vegan. Not many vegan cookies can actually say that. And guess what — I’m a carnivore who usually hates vegan food, having grown up with it in hippy-land and having been a vegetarian for 10 years, I know my shit. This is good shit, not bad shit. Good shit. Hooray for the existence of these cookies. A little pricey for a cookie, but these are the best cookies I’ve ever had from vegan-land, so I’m more than happy to pay for the quality. The freshness. A local business. The marketing and shipping involved. The packaging. Actually, when you get down to it, the price is just right. Eat. Enjoy. Be happy. Be very, very happy.

I would have never known this place was here if it weren’t for Unilocal.Approaching the door I wasn’t sure I was in the right place. It is not a retail location. Inside the door it’s just really an office with an area set up with cookies. $ 0.75 for their medium sized ones. I got 2 oatmeal raisin and two chocolate chip with nuts. They didn’t have any vegan cookies out when I was there. Oh, and there are no signs saying what cookie is what either. I’m not in the area too often so I don’t see myself going back any time soon. Bakesale Betty so far remains my choice for cookies.

I totally agree, especially with Samantha W. Zoe’s Cookies are AMAZING! As a non-vegan, I used to avoid these cookies for fear that they tasted like dirt. I was in denial of vegan-cookie-yumminess. These cookies are incredibly delicious. I especially adore the Vegan Banana Chocolate Walnut variety. The«barista» at Nomad Café called them Crack Cookies. They are that addicting. I would, however, love to know the calorie, fat, fiber count of said cookies so I can figure out how many in a row I can eat. :-)
