I had planned on trying this restaurant out. I was hesitant because every(and I mean EVERY) time I drive by there are no more than 2 cars here. Not a good sign when there is nothing else for miles and miles. The reviews were good so I was going to meet my mom and try it. We were going to leave my car and visit a friend for a few minutes, then try this place out. There were no parking signs everywhere so I ran in to make sure my car would be ok for a few minutes. I asked the owner, she said she«had a serious problem with that». Apparently she has a serious problem with having new(or any) customers as well. For me nice staff is just as important as good food. This was a definite fail on the former. We had even discussed how we hoped we liked it because we could eat there every Wednesday night. Her loss.

Located about halfway between Kenton Ohio and Marysville Ohio on State Route 31, this little restaurant is a hidden gem. Within minutes you will have your authentic Mexican meal made to order with fresh ingredients and serve directly to you by the owner. The décor is a bit dated but you don’t go to a restaurant to look at the walls, you go to eat good food, and this place has it. So please, one afternoon when you got time on your hands whether you live near Kenton, Marysville, Marion, Delaware or even Columbus it’s a short drive up(or down) State Route 31 for a meal you will not forget. P. S. Yes they have beer so enjoy your Dos Equis, Corona or your favorite domestic.

This place is an absolute gem. The tall blonde that seems to run the place is a genuine treat, and makes everyone from well-known regulars to first timers feel not just welcome, but at home. The service is excellent and the food comes out fast. The ambiance is friendly, locally-focused(everybody knows everybody), and very casual(I’ve gone there dirty after a long day working outside on many occasions). The food is spectacular, without qualification for it’s out of the way location. The food is prepared with real care and attention to quality, and you can tell they care greatly about the food and experience they give their customers. As the previous reviewer said, the beef truly is something special. I’ve eaten over a dozen meals there now and never had an off-experience or a blah dish. Even the margaritas and desserts(peanut butter pie, oh my!) are a cut above. My only regret is that I didn’t discover this place earlier.

This is a nice hidden gem along Route 31. Not many know about it, other than it’s the most brightly painted building you’ll come across on your way to mt Victory. Venture inside past the cement burros and you’ll find yourself in a hole in the wall Mexican restaraunt, but what you won’t be expecting is to be greeted by the owner, a smiley, tall, boisterious blonde who makes your meal enjoyable without the fakeness or stuffiness of most waitresses. She is sincere, and passionate about what she does. She is the best Hostess I have ever came across in a Mexican dining establishment. Now on to the best part: THEFOOD! I don’t kid when I say this place beats El Vaquero, Mangos, Fiesta Grande, Crazy burrito and the rest of the microwave tex-mex facilities in Marysville. Each dish is made to order, smells delicious and tastes as good as it looks. I recommend the Falutas(formerly taquitos). They are like a piece of deep fried tortilla heaven for my belly. How can I also forget to mention that they don’t use ground beef. No, sir, this ain’t no cheap taco shack, this place roasts their beef in herbs and spices all day, so what you get is a melt in your mouth goodness like Mother’s own pot roast. The meat can be similar to Chipotle’s beef, but the spices are different. It still takes the cake on the Mexican establishments that refuse to move away from their ground beef cheap fascinations. I love the service here, the ambiance, and the food is killer. I only wish it didn’t feel like a million miles away, and that it was closer to Columbus so everyone could enjoy this Mexican slice of awesomeness. –P.S.- Try the Sopapillas you will not be disapointed.
