Well… it’s a fairground/​RV park. Don’t expect lush green grass or beautifully landscaped surrounding.
Nope. This is the desert folks. Lots of dirt, dirt, and more dirt.
We came to the fairgrounds for the Indian Wells Gem & Mineral Show. Mainly for the Sunday field trip out to their Rainbow Ledge claim.
The facilities were a bit run down. The bathrooms, while somewhat clean, were completely dark. The light bulbs were dead and it was damn near impossible to see anything. So there very well could be spiders all over the place. Seat covers were unavailable and warm water wasn’t even an option
Maybe when the fair comes to town they spruce the place up. Hopefully so, as this is one of the only fairgrounds for a hundred miles or so.

Ridgecrest, CA
The first and only RV park I’ve ever stayed at. Monthly rate is very reasonable. Utilities, power water sewer is all included. Free wifi is available if spotty coverage and it gets a bit bogged down in the evening when everybody is home. Shade is virtually nonexistent but this is the high desert. All in all nice quiet place on the outskirts of town. Straight shot to NAWS Richmond gate.
