Surprised to find such complex and delicious sandwiches at a shop we always ignored on our way to Ross. Owners and staff provide courteous service as well. A find! I shall return.

This place offers the two main staples of a Ridgefield kitchen :) The shop itself is charming, and they have quite a lovely selection of foods beyond cheese. I just want to point out they they do have a small sandwich menu, including some fantastic grilled cheeses. The mushroom grilled cheese, when available, is absolutely worth the wait! It is possible to call your order in ahead so it’s ready when you are, too.

Great selection of cheeses, great sandwiches, and literally the best staff of any store I’ve ever visited. Highly knowledgeable and very friendly. Monica and Todd are two of the nicest people.

I went to the first wine and cheese pairing class in their new upstairs room. It was fantastic! The staff is welcoming, friendly and overall a joy to talk to. The class was very informative; they had a cheese specialist as well as a wine specialist. There was also a tasty dessert at the end. I highly recommend the classes. They are worth every penny.

109 Cheese is a wonderful little shop located in Ridgefield, CT. The store offers many things besides what the name indicates: sausages, dressings, crackers, pre-made pastas, etc. However, the name does indicate cheese and boy do they have some great friggin’ cheese. The staff is absolutely helpful and will let you taste most cheese if you do not have an idea of what you like. I would suggest any of the goat/sheeps cheese that they offer, seeing that they are always great. Although cheese selections come and go, my favorite is the tartufo or sometimes called tartufullo; a truffle-based mild cheese that is straight up ridiculous. The prices are sometimes high based on what you order, but what else would you expect from a high-end cheese shop in Ridgefield. Do not be afraid to walk in though if your wallet is light; there is something for everyone. Wonderful!

Thanks Bernard for the wonderful sausages, truly a treat and much easier than booking a table at the restaurant! The cheese selection is moderately diverse, well selected, and fits the bill for the quick fix in terms of a picnic or evening of nice wine and cheese. There are other household items for sale and frozen quality foodie-type goods but the cheese is likely the best reason to go there. I’d put this in the top 5 options for quality cheese in Fairfield County, not in the top 3 but in the top 5 for sure.

Great for foodies or snacks for a night in. This shop is small but what they do have is delicious and thoughtfully hand chosen. The shop is owned by Monica, the same woman that owns Cellar XV wine across the street. She did a great job bringing in a hip west coast foodie vibe into a small shop. The staff is friendly, casual, knowledgeable and more than willing to give samples and help you select the perfect cheese for a meal or gift. Crackers and small gifts are also sold in the shop. A higher end wine cellar will be opening in the shop soon as well.
