The food was ok. I had much higher expectations. The delivery was good and timely, but the quality, particularly of the Greek dish ordered, fell flat.

I’ve been going to Dimitri’s for years and it is consistently good food and wonderful, friendly service. Try it out if you’re in the area and looking for a quick and delicious meal.

Service was good, the vinaigrette was great. But burgers, chicken finger etc are mostly from restaurant depot. Not much is made fresh unless you order eggs.

If I could give this place negative stars based on customer service I would. I mean below the earth core negative. As for the food I have never had much than several over priced grilled cheeses and omelets.(I know — blame me for going back… But I believe in supporting my town and giving chances– more than deserved– so sue me. But please don’t bc I didn’t meet the 10 dollar minimum) Food At best a .5 …sub par diner food that only survives based on it’s inflated prices. I had probably the most Horrible experience there today that left me shaking… I have had a few experiences with the owner and it’s always a gamble. One day he’s my best bud and the next day it’s like he has the worst hemorrhoids that ever existed so he feels the need to take it out on patrons. I met sir hemorrhoids today. I can divulge on the experience further — but I’ll leave it at this. You yelled at me in front of customers(looking around for support from other patrons — yet only uncomfortable eyes looked back at both of us). You are not a man for yelling at a woman in front of people. For a minor problem I fell slightly short of the unknown 10 dollar minimum… I apologized profusely and said I was sorry and now I knew for next time bc I have nothing else on me… You are a coward, I swallowed my own pride and gave you what you didn’t deserve.(I hope you enjoyed counting Whatever change was left in my car and the two dollars in my wallet(I happened to not have cash that day or my other cards on me or know the«policy» — which you can bypass for people…) you treated me like street trash — did you know I’m also a business owner? Did you know that I understand the struggles of the industry you are in? See that’s where I separate myself from you. Empathy and belief in the greater good. I gave you money probably a dollar short of the 5.26 for two pieces of bread a piece of cheese slab between. Bc I felt bad that there was a misunderstanding. You didn’t try and make it right as I left empty handed and you probably 4 dollars richer — Consider that my tip. Tip for what? Customer service …(Clearly not your forte) You sir are a mean disgruntled man who felt the need to belittle a woman in front of a group people at the cost of losing a customer. I was very shaken and upset at your lack of cooperation. I certainly hope your hemorrhoids clear up for your future patrons– as I will surely NOT be one of them nor recommended you to the many people I know in town. We are breaking up. It’s not me it’s you(ok so I went on further than anticipated but truth sucks sometimes — and after speaking with several people I wasn’t alone in your lack of respect and your grossly inept ability to deal with customers and your general jerkiness) I will wish you the best of of luck because as I told you earlier today as I scrambled to make things right — I am a better person.(I’m sure internet trolls will chime in here. But he made a grown woman cry and feel small…)

We go to Dmitri’s often for a good, inexpensive meal. We can enjoy breakfast lunch or dinner there. The food is always fresh and good quality. The people that work there are all very competent and friendly. It’s our local go-to place for a quick and tasty meal. I recommend it highly. They’ve never dissapointed us.

service was friendly, courteous, prompt and flexible. Our Food order had several different special requests and nuances. It came out perfect as ordered, fresh ingredients, excellent taste. Very enjoyable meal. Ambiance was diner-esque, but very clean and well kept. I would go back agan when in the area in a heart beat.

Welp, I won’t be going back here again. Bland bland bland. Warm choco milk that costs 3.50. Canned corned beef hash. Imitation English muffins for my eggs benedict with canadian ham that ate like stale chewing gum. My wifes burnt egg white omelette. Go anywhere else if you want food with flavor.

I’ve been there several times(mostly when I wasn’t the one making the decision of where to go). I just don’t like anything about it — the food, service, décor/atmosphere. I’d say it defines mediocrity.

Decent diner food in a cleaner environment when compared with Early Bird. Perhaps because of the competition the accolades for best diner in Ridgefield go to Demetri. He does push families to sit in the second room, sometimes like a warden in a POW camp and I believe he needs to relax this rule.

It’s a diner. Now to be fair — I’ve only been here for breakfast. Always a seat. Always quick service. Coffees decent. What you’d want and expect in a diner. I love the pink omelette. Sounds gross — but is quite good. I much prefer this place for breakfast or brunch vs. Early Bird. Not sure I would try it for dinner.

I love everything there. Owners are soooooo nice! Shout Out to Costa and Dimitri. I love all their breakfast and the grape leaves are To die for. My hubby like the lamb. Always fresh authentic and fast!

I really don’t like to write negative reviews, but my experience today calls for one. Stopped in for lunch today and ordered a chicken panini. Now I’ve had chicken paninis all over Fairfield and New Haven counties in CT, but the one I was served today at Dimitri’s was downright awful. For $ 8.95, I got a nicely toasted panini bread with a few really small miniscule pieces of dark and light chicken with some tomato chunks and a bland, nameless cheese sauce. Seriously? Taco Bell serves more chicken in their chicken quesadillas. If this is what they serve their customers, I hope the diner ambiance makes up for the lack of food that winds up on the plate. I left feeling still hungry and stopped at a deli for a roast beef sandwich.

Great spot for families. Colored pencils and paper to keep kids distracted certainly help. Staff is super friendly– very accommodating. Quick turnaround after you order, good with refills etc. Extensive menu, mostly American and Greek food. Standard stuff for the most part. Healthy options available(grilled chicken, whole wheat pasta for kids). Burgers are solid. Breakfast is big and good. Not an uncommon complaint for most diners, but there isn’t a ton of flavor in the food. Still good/fine(I ate it all), but not quite worthy of a 5. There is a tv on the wall where they have a slideshow of pics of kids who’ve eaten there– I think my kids stared at it for 15 minutes while we finished, just waiting to see some more of their friends(or themselves). Prices aren’t cheap, but reasonable considering the location.

We have had them deliver several times. I like Greek food & my family like the burgers. Nothing fancy, but it’s good & the delivery time is super quick. Plus, they are open late which is good when we have a late night & nothing in the fridge.

Great diner in Ridgefield! It is the place to go when you have no idea what you want because there are plenty of options here! The greek food is pretty good and the breakfast is standard. The service here is amazing and the servers are fantastic!

Just your standard Greek diner. I’ve only been there a few times, but I recommend their sandwiches if you’re into diner food. Service is good, and the option for takeout is a neat bonus. They also have a pretty large selection of cakes and pies, the Lemon Meringue is probably your best choice. Overall, just an ordinary diner. But if you’re short on time, their takeout service is your best choice.

I’ve been here a ton of times. After much thought, and a lot of reflection upon the food and service I’ve received here over the years, I’ve decided that you can do a lot better. You could do a lot worse too, but this is Ridgefield, not New Britain. With good breakfast places like the Early Bird, and a dozen premium-level restaurants in the area, Dimitri’s kinda fades into obscurity. It’s not even that inexpensive as far as diners go. Bethel, Danbury, and Newtown have multiple spots that are cheaper, and offer better food. I’ll give ‘em credit for one thing — I don’t know if they do it anymore, but historically on the anniversary of their opening, they have half-price food, a thank you gift to their regular customers. Show up and order the most expensive thing on the menu, I guess! I loved their pastitchio, a «Greek Lasagna» if you will featuring pasta, flavored ground meat, and a creamy soufflé topping. But they don’t serve it anymore, at least not regularly. In terms of value, it’s on par with Denny’s. But I’d rather go to Denny’s, because at least I’d be paying less.

Go somewhere else. Food is God awful, your money can buy a meal ten times as good elsewhere.

A decent diner on Prospect Street in Ridgefield, near the library. I have been going here once in a while pretty much since they first opened 15+ years ago. The breakfast is pretty good. Lunch is ok, but dinner not really worth it. Service is ok, sometimes fast, sometimes slow. There are a good amount of tables, and some stools. Eggs and hash browns will hit the spot.

It’s a good place as long as you’re going there for diner food, it is a diner after all. Given it’s located in Ridgefield the prices were alright I guess — but considering I don’t usually eat in Ridgefield I found it to be pricey for what you got. The place is really clean and well kept, the service was a bit slow — but very friendly. There are two separate entrances to two separate dinning rooms — one for families and one regular. This is very useful if you don’t enjoy hearing the shouts and cries of little children…
