Limestone Service Station

I have lived in Ridgefield on and off for more than 30 years. I have stopped at Limestone for gas, but never for any auto repair. I always went to the dealer. How did I know that we have a «gem» of an automotive repair shop right here in Ridgefield. I brought in my SUV for a general overhaul, asking Robert and his crew to check out everything. They did. Told me at the moment the car was in good condition at 115,000 miles. Just be aware of fluids or other signs of repair in the future. The total cost was less than a dinner in Ridgefield without the wine! I was very impressed by their professional manner, courtesy, and knowledge. I now know where I will go when my car needs attention.

First time going to this shop. I work in Ridgefield and stopped on my way to work to have my emissions test done. Parking was a little limited but it’s a service station not a department store so… whatever. I walked in to the person behind the counter talking on the phone to what I can only assume was a customer. I received no acknowledgement of my presence as he continued to talk. There was an employee yelling at another employee out in the shop area which probably isn’t good to have all the doors open with customers around and on the phone. About five minutes later someone emerged from the service area and I explained why I was there (the other guy was still on the phone). He took my keys and pulled my truck in for the test. Less than 10 minutes later I was on my way.
The «customer lounge» area consists of two chairs in front of the coolers and snacks, but I’ve seen much worse. Overall the experience was pleasant and extremely fast. Aside from standing there waiting to be acknowledged by someone… anyone…it wasn’t a bad experience.
Not sure about their other services but for a quick emissions test you can’t really beat it. I was in, out, and on my way in under 15 minutes.

These people are honest and fair; they are not looking to cheat you. Friendly, competent, and not condescending.

CHEATS!!! Brought my SUV in for «check engine light». Charged $ 900 for 8 spark plugs. Light now off, but comes back few days later. Limestone said that dealer would better be able to fix. Dealer showed me that only 1 spark plug was changed, 7 other were OEM! Went back to Limestone and they first denied they only changed 1, showed them the 7 original plugs, then they said it must have been a «mistake» in the billing! Charged for parts and hours of labor to change 1 plug! — the mistake was that I went here. Got my $ back but will never go back, not even to buy gas as they deliberately lied and cheated!

Needed a job done called all the shops around and the prices were all over the map. Called the auto parts store and asked the price of the parts I needed and realized the only shop giving me a fair price was this one. Have been there twice now and they are very honest and do very good work. I highly recommend them.

I went here to have my emissions test done and had a great experience! I was a bit nervous to go because I don’t know anything about cars, but I was in and out in less that 15 minutes. The staff is very helpful and friendly and made the annoying task painless.

Went here for second opinion after Goodyear told me that steering parts needed replaced. Limestone told me that all the steering needed was tightened. Saved over $ 1500 by checking with Limestone. That was over a year ago and steering has been just fine. Have had my truck services here ever since.
