Maki Wendy M MD

I LOVE Dr. Maki! I think she is a wonderful doctor, who listens well and takes great care of me. I have been going to her since 2008 and it used to be convenient since I worked right down the block… well I no longer work in the area and I still travel about an 1 hr just to see her.

After reading the last two reviews I had to write one… it teaches me that not all reviews are relevant or correct… I’ve been using Dr. Maki for about 5 – 6 years and absolutely adore her… she always is kind, interested in my well being… takes the time that’s necessary and has always been there for me… The office staff is okay, but I’ve gotten to know them better and thus they are responding much better to me… I do think it is a two way street as with anything else… I give them a smile and attention and I get it back… I recently moved away and leaving Dr. Maki was one of the hardest parts… she is a gem.

I had heard from a friend that Dr. Maki was a great doctor. She may be – I never got a chance to find out because her office staff was so incompetent that they said they took my insurance, made me wait two months for an appointment, then told me they didn’t take that insurance – despite the fact that Wendy Maki is listed as a provider on the site (and they had taken the insurance at that office when I went to see a different doctor for a more urgent situation that I couldn’t wait two months to address). When I mentioned they’d taken my insurance two months earlier, they said they had the number but had it listed under a Blue Cross Blue Shield – which I hadn’t used since the 1970s!
The first visit I’d had to this office was problematic as well. They said my appointment was in the afternoon, though I’d definitely booked for the morning (I have a regular job in the afternoons).
I’m hoping it’s one bad egg in the staff, but the other post makes me wary. If you know of a good doctor in the Ridgefield area – with an organized and competent staff – please let me know!

Another doctor was working in this practice and I was going to her and liked her. She left and I got stuck with Dr. Maki. She has no personality, no compassion and is condescending… Additionally, when you need anything from the office staff, immunization records, forms filled out, etc… it’s always «2 – 3 weeks», to make a copy or print something from the computer? Isn’t this 2012? I’m looking for a new Dr. now… Any suggestions in the Ridgefield, CT area of a great MD with a personality!
