Look, seeing as it was my local place, I decided to go for convenience over price when I was fixing a few minute things before I moved. Came in, the part I needed was sold out but they said they could have it in stock in 3 days. Okay, that sounds reasonable and saves me a trip up to Federal Road. 3 days pass and I haven’t heard anything, so I go in and I am told it will be another 2 days. Alright, fine. Again, 2 days go by without hearing back. As I was moving, I went up to Lowes and got what I needed.
Fast forward 3 months… I have moved out of town by now and i get a call that the part has come in and is ready for pick up. 3 MONTHS LATER? What a joke.
Thank you but I will take my business elsewhere.

Awesome local hardware store that has everything you need including all of your bbq and grilling equipment. Staff is awesome and always goes above and beyond to help you from the moment you walk in the door. Beats the headache of going to Lowes or Home Depot. Just ask for Jerry!

Too bad this place is totally out of synch with when people work. Two times I tried to go after work, they must think no one commutes from here (only everyone) in Ridgefield. No wonder big box stores are killing them. I’ll wait for the weekend and go to Danbury…

As soon as you walk in the door at Ridgefield Hardware there is someone asking
«Can I help you with anything?» Very attentive staff and very willing to help.
Whatever you need, they have it! Just ask, and if they don’t have it they will get it
for you.

They’ve got everything in this store and the staff are trained as if they work for the king. But they also have the highest prices around. Great if you don’t want to make a long trip to Home Depot.

If you need any hardware item they got it and in most cases they will help you find it. No lumber but screws, bolts, pulleys, etc and you don’t need to buy a package of ten if you need only one.
