The woman working behind the counter was so arrogant(January 21201611:00AM) that no matter how great the food tastes, not saying that it was great… I would never go back there. The people working at the DMV are saints compared to this woman. If you are the owner reading this… she is killing your business!!!

Best place around Fort Lee for authentic Korean ricecakes. Can’t go wrong if it’s where the picky Koreans go, right? It’s always my go-to place for special occassion ricecakes. They take large orders and rent out a whole Korean traditional wedding set of displays, attire and cater to weddings.

Beautiful box sets are available for gifts and special gathering. Just be careful with rice cake desserts, they are like mini bowls of rice. The more you have them the more you will be feeling full and stuff’d(you be feeling fat later).

My favorite place to get tteok on the East Coast… this tteok jip is way better than the other ones out there. All their rice cakes taste so fresh and are great vehicles for the distinctive flavors such as pine and wormwood. In addition to tteok/rice cake they also have other traditional Korean desserts and many types of packaged beverages. Their shikhye(sweet rice beverage) is the best I have ever had and you must try it if you go! Also prices are really reasonable and many items cost $ 1 per piece.

This review is for the gift set I received. I LOVE yak-gwa /han-gwa.(when I was super little, my grandma would make this stuff from scratch). Hence, when I can get my hands on this stuff, I will horde it up! I received a BEAUTIFUL gift box of Han Gwa Set A(an assortment of yak-gwa) from Yedang for christmas. But it was HORRIBLE. There were two types of Yak-gwa in the set and both of them were so hard. It was clearly not freshly made. The Rice Ganjeong was SO brittle.(They’re supposed to be like rice crispy treats). And I could clearly smell MOLD in the ‘sol’(green fir tree leaves) Dasik. I even had my mom taste it and she immediately spit it out saying she tastes mold. The one star is for the Yu-gwa. The Yu-gwa was well made and pretty tasty. So, please be wary. Buy one to taste test(as they’re individually wrapped). I definitely will NOT be hording this garbage.

I go to the one in flushing. If I was a death row inmate, I’d ask for a shipment of dduk from yedang as part of my last meal. The quality of dduk in this place cannot be compared to anything else I’ve tasted. It outshines all competition; it is that sinfully good. No food coloring or crap ingredients, too. I love you yedang. You make me fat, but that’s ok.

My roommate and I love(LOVE) this specialty baked goods shop. They have the best quality dduk(rice cakes) around. Yes, it’s a bit pricey so it’s not an everyday place to indulge, but their assortment is wonderful. But it’s really the quality that does it for me. This place also carries decadent gift boxes of dduk and I’m pretty certain they take orders for special occasions such as Dol(one year birthdays) and other big Korean holidays and celebrations. Highly recommended, so try to stop by next time you’re in the area shopping at H-Mart.
