Front door to the hotel is locked at dusk, had a call button that doesn’t work, no sign stating to press the call button to enter after dusk. Someone had a pizza delivered, the delivery man was as shocked that the door was locked. Ended up calling the hotel so the could let us enter the building, is that’s Marriotts’ customer service? What! Asked why, the response was to keep people who were not staying in the hotel out! Really don’t feel safe here, Marriott has really gone done hill. Opened the sofa bed, the bedding only had a mattress cover(really don’t think any one puts it on before using the sofa bed), fitted sheet and a blanket. The fitted sheet was for a queen size bed, the sofa bed is a full size. There was no sheet or pillow. Bedroom door had to be propped open. Refrigerator door has an area that looks like they tried to remove four years of stickers and rust. Next day, found out the bathtub drain was slow to drain plus the plug would not work if you wanted to take a bath. After the shower, went to make coffee, it had not been cleaned and had dead bugs inside the carafe. Needless to say, we didn’t have breakfast. I will never stay there again!

I’ve stayed here probably 60 days since 2010, and it’s a nice hotel. They’ve recently been upgrading it with new carpets, fixtures, tables, etc. it feels more open and modern now. Never count on a hotel breakfast/dinner as a full meal. Most of the time it’s not a problem, other times you’re left with a croûton and cup of water. There are numerous restaurants within walking distance as well.

This hotel is undergoing renovation, however, they are keeping the facility clean and the Reno does not hamper our stay. The reno design has a great modern feel look. Our room has been completed and is very nice. The front desk staff are friendly and helpful.

Bad for business travelers! This hotel allows large dogs, and the rooms smell of it. Additionally, every family in a 3 state area must know about this place, the kids are running wild. Rooms are average, smell of pets, and some vents are dirty. Some furniture is worn out in the rooms. The complementary manager’s happy hour? Food was devoured by the families, but they will offer you a Dixie cup of Coors Light(if you ask)…

The staff doesn’t have any pride in their work, or appearance. The staff doesn’t respect the Guests staying with them. In fact I would doubt they think of you as a Guest at all. There are 6 other hotels within a block or two, one on each side as a matter of fact. There are several other Marriott properties in Jackson too. I am a loyal Marriott, Platinum, GUEST. Stayed 28 days across 5 states in the first 4 months of 2012, I will never stay here again.

If you are staying for a night, maybe two this will suffice. Although if you are a traveler who needs a place to stay for any longer than that I do not recommend. The worst hotel staff I have ever experienced. Good luck finding someone at the front desk if it’s not peak hours. Housekeeping will barge into your room at any given time to replace towels(seems like they only have 1 set for the entire hotel). Also, be wary of receiving packages here; it took about 5 people 20 minutes to search for a package I’d received 5 days earlier(typically, a hotel will immediately let a guest know they have received mail or leave it in their room). I will never stay here again.

Wonderful Place! As I drove up to the hotel I noticed a sport court with a basketball court, that’s new. when i walked in to he hotel i noticed a very young staff. they had a new employee who worked with me, it took some time, but everybody needs time to learn the job. when i got to my room i loved it. it was modern! wonderful wallpaper with great carpet. its all most like staying in my own studio apartment. great place to stay.
