My family and I decided to try the Fireside Inn last night for my mother’s birthday, despite the overpriced food. Unfortunately we didn’t get the chance because of piss poor performance by the restaurant’s staff. Our large party sat at the table for 25 minutes as we watched the waitress run circles around us, taking multiple rounds of refills to other tables as well as wipe down tables, giving guests their food/checks/etc. I have never walked out of a restaurant but we were left no choice. Very rude and disrespectful, you lost major sale last night. You need to hire more staff… or maybe just better staff. Either way, we will never return.

the service is why i gave this 3 stars. our waitress was on her game! the food however, a different story. $ 12.50 for a lobster mac appetizer. a little less mac and a lot more lobster. had the salmon with lobster sauce for dinner. salmon slightly overcooked. get rid of the lobster sauce. salmon should be able to stand on it’s own. salmon meat was not pink which leads me to believe it may have been farm raised and not wild caught. wife had the prime rib which in her words was ok. not a stellar review from her. total for meal was slightly over $ 50.00. not bad but do not think i will be visiting again anytime soon.

If you are looking to spend over an hour to get your food, this is the place for you. The menu and specials looked fantastic, but after waiting for 1 ½ hours we left without eating. We were promptly greeted at our table and given very flat soda and our order was taken by a young waitress that was not very professionally dressed. Her hair was streaked with red and her she wore boots. I know it is also a lounge, but come on wear comfortable, presentable shoes. After a half hour of waiting, I asked if our salads would be brought prior to our dinner, which the waitress replied yes. She said that they would be right out and that our meal was soon after. 15 min roll by(45 min total), still no salad, so I asked about my salad again, to which the waitress replied rudely, yes they were coming. I informed here that the table that came in after us had already received their salads, to which she rudely replied that they had been there for 40 min… to which I replied I had been there 45. So finally another nice waitress(older, dressed as a waitress) brought our salads and they were good. Also dining with me was my very patient 4 yr old grand daughter. After an hour of waiting she asked the waitress when our food would be coming, she replied soon. My daughter walked her around trying to keep her busy so she would not distract the other diners and saw that they had a fridge full of pre-made salads… hmmmm why the 45 min wait??? After 1 ½ we decided to leave. My husband flagged down another waitress and asked for the bill for the salad and drinks. She said she understood and said dont worry about it. We get out the door, half way down the steps when another waitress chases us down and asked if we were leaving. I said«yes, an hour and half was too long to wait and that we were going to elsewhere. We could have drove to Winchester and been served in that amount of time.» She then asked what we ordered so she could cancel. We told her what we ordered and she had the nerve to say the food was almost ready.(Yeah we heard that for an hour, tell me something I haven’t heard) All of the food that came out LOOKED delicious, too bad I won’t be going back to enjoy it :(
