On our way to Charlotte from Columbia and needed dinner. Found this place via Unilocal restaurants nearby. WOW! What a pleasant surprise. Clean, romantic, simple setting with wood booths and cloth napkins. Started with Chipotle pimento cheese dip. For dinner I had the sirloin with Gorgonzola cheese sauce, mac & cheese, garlic mashed potatoes and my husband had the backyard burger with a side of onion rings. It was ALL delicious. Dinner, drinks, cocktail, appetizers totaled $ 54.00. Tiny little place located right on old town Main St. What a gem of a place. We might make a special trip back… it was that good!!!

Visited 05 March. Cool historic old building in a two-block historic district of what appeared to be an old railroad town. The service was very good. I had shrimp and grits, and my companion had the beef tenderloin special. The shrimp and grits was excellent, but the portion size was a little small. I was still hungry. My companion enjoyed their entrée, which came with steamed vegetables and mashed potatoes. We did not eat dessert, nor did we order drinks. We thought it would be nice if the menu contained a history of the building. I would return.

We stopped here tonight on our way back from Charlotte. The restaurant is really nice inside and nicely decorated. The owner also takes pride in decorating the outside very festive. Very attractive place. We were greeted and seated very promptly. Our drinks were also brought out very promptly. The restaurant has a great menu selection. Lots of great things to choose from. There were 4 of us and we all ordered something different. The food came out quickly and was very good. I had a Hamburger and steak fries. It was a nice large good burger. The waiter checked on us often. Very attentive. My only complaint is that the restaurant is very noisy. I’m really not sure what they can do to change that though. Maybe some rugs or something? It’s just a little hard to carry on a conversation in the dining area. About the time we were leaving a band came in to play. Wish we could have stayed longer. It’s a nice place to eat. The food is good. I just wish it were a little less noisy. I hope to get back there! It’s a nice addition to Ridgeway. It’s such a great little town.

They advertised on social media they were now offering some authentic German dishes for Octoberfest. We jumped at the chance to partake. At lunch there today, only two dishes were offered and sauerkraut was not included but after begging it was offered as well. We had some good brews while waiting. Other tables were seated, served and departed and we still had no food. The young waiter was too young to get us a beer from the bar and had to go get the manager to get it for him. She’d then hand it to him and he’d bring it to us. This would take more time than it should have. The food finally came over an hour later. The sauerkraut was good. The potato salad was carrots, pickles and potatoes. The brats… meh. The chicken salad croissant had no mayo, one half a grape and some chunks of chicken. I’m saddened that this place has failed to deliver, more often than not. Six people for a $ 93 lunch that was slower than slow and disappointing makes it very difficult to ever return. So much potential, so little delivery. Not worth my time or money at this point. I hope they iron out their problems and get it together to be what is possible.

We moved here recently from VA. The restaurant was clean, service was great and being a northener, I ordered a dish I never had before… shrimp and cheese grits. It was amazing!!! I crave them and will definitely be back. Look forward to trying one of the amazing sounding specials!

Went to eat with 50 friends. They opened early just for us. Had 2 – 4 primary servers for all of us. While the service was somewhat slow(you do the division) these people busted their butts for us. No one standing still. Good food for the price. No one left hungry.

We were in Blythewood at the Holiday Inn Express and found this on Unilocal. The food was excellent, as was the service. The little town of Ridgeway is cute and the Olde Town Hall Restaurant is a cute pub environment. The peach martini was a big hit and set the mood for the dinner. We enjoyed sharing a French Onion Soup and a Chicken Parm. Service was good and very friendly. If you are from oy of town, great find. I can see why people in Columbia drive up for their evening their.

Decided tot take a drive out to Ridgeway today for lunch. Got there about 1:00 and was seated promptly. Nice atmosphere with tables and wood booths. My wife ordered the Ridgeway Burger and I decided to get the Fish and Chips. They have a pretty good wine selection with very reasonable prices. My wife thought her burger was just ok, nothing great. She thought it needed some salt and said it was very well done, almost dry and not very juicy. I was surprised when my fish came. I’m used to seeing a couple of fish filets when you get fish and chips(Red Robin/Scotties, etc). OTH’s fish was more like fish bites… small squares of filets and the batter was different than what I expected. It must have been more of a cornmeal/flour mixture or something, as it wasn’t a beer batter or tempura batter type coating. The fish was very good however and came with a small cup of tarter sauce and ketchup for the fries. The fries were also good. I doubt if I would order them again, however. They had a couple of salads on the menu that sounded good and I’d like to go back sometime to try the shrimp and grits. Not sure if I’ll go back soon as it didn’t have any Wow factor from this first visit, but if I happen to be close I would try it. My wife would have rated it 2 ½ stars, but for now I’ll give it three stars based on what we had to eat. The service was quick and prompt and our waitress was good. No complaints there.

Just found this little Gem in Ridgeway about a month ago. I am sure glad I did. The atmosphere is cool. Love the Wine, Beer and Martini choices. The food that I had so far is really good. The Shrimp and Grits needs more seasoning, but the Salmon and Goat cheese Salad is excellent. The Lava shrimp were cooked well. Their Cheesecake is awesome. My new favorite little place. Angelina and her staff are very friendly and effecient. Hopefully I’ll be back this weekend! :)

I always wondered if there was a decent restaurant between Columbia and Charlotte. Well I found a great one last night. I had a Peach-tini(or two) and they were soooo good. I was worried they might have that peach flavoring that tastes too sweet and fake, but Lord no; hence the reason for more than one. I had the crab cakes for dinner and they were better than perfect. I’m from Charleston and have eaten at most restaurants in Charleston and I’m telling you these crab cakes were better than any restaurant in Charleston. They were so thick with virtually only crab meat, and they had that outer crunch that I love. My date had the shrimp and grits which were good, but could’ve used more seasoning. Great waitress and service. I cannot wait to go again to try everything else.

The Old Town Hall is our favorite restaurant. We live in Columbia, SC and the 30 minute drive to Ridgeway is well worth the dining experience. I have never had better crab cakes, or shrimp and grits. The filet and ribeye steaks are grilled over charcoal and are tender and full of flavor. The atmosphere is relaxing, warm and friendly. Angelina, the owner, has done a superb job in making the OTH one of the best restaurants in the Columbia area. Kaitland, Maria, and Moe provide superb service. You have got to try this restaurant — a true symphony of gastronomical delights. Don and Anne Jarvis

What a great treat. My wife and I were traveling from Charlotte to Charleston and were looking for a quick break. Wow — this was great. This little town is so charming and the food at the Old Town Hall was terrific. I had the grilled salmon salad and my wife had the cranberry chicken salad. Our full bill, with tip was $ 28. The vegetables were fresh and tasty. The grilled meat was very tender and tasty. The house white vinaigrette was a great dressing and not to strong. It was a terrific break and nice setting for a beautiful afternoon.

My wife and I decided to have dinner here after some good reviews in our neighborhood. The place was crowded as it is relatively small, so we bellied up to the bar. It was a nice bar with many drink options. One in particular was the Kentucky Mule, a bourbon take on the Moscow mule. It was fantastic! My wife said her dirty martini was nothing to rave about. For dinner we started out with the Fire Shrimp, which is a take on Bonefish Grill’s Bang Bang Shrimp. They were decent. Then for my meal I ordered a create your own pizza. They had numerous toppings to choose from, but the disappointing feature was the crust. The crust seems like a pre-made store bought pizza crust. I was not impressed at all. My wife ordered the beef tips over grits. These were phenomenal! The beef tips wee seasoned wonderfully and the grits were great! I highly recommend this dish. For dessert we had their home made Crème brûlée. It was so rich and flavorful. So our overall experience was good. I would not recommend the pizzas at all, but everything else was good. We will return.

Olde Town Hall is under new management. They have a nice atmosphere, friendly service and great food. We sat at the bar and the bartender was very friendly and suggested some things we hadn’t tried which were great picks! We all got different pita wraps(bbq chicken, bang bang shrimp and grilled chicken) and they were really tasty. My sister lives in Ridgeway and has eaten here a few times and everything has been good. It is wonderful to have a good place to have a drink and something to eat in Ridgeway!
