Pizza is dry and the toppings are practically afterthoughts Sausage and onion hero was middling Buffalo wings were limp and swimming in sauce To add insult to injury, the delivery guy refused to ring the bell and come up to actually deliver the food, forcing me to come out to the street, hair still wet from the shower.

(delivery review) pizza is good. meatball sub good. antipasto salad is a definite NO unless you use the word«salad» very lightly and are in the mood for 3 pounds of cubed salami and cheese. i grew up eating this salad and i’ve never seen proportions like this. so, the reason i will never order from here again? this is the first pizzeria i’ve encountered in my 20+ years in NYC that does not deliver to your door. there are way too many other great pizzerias(better pizzerias, at that) nearby(this is *^$#ing new york city) to have to deal with the deliver man waiting comfortably in his car outside for 10 minutes refusing to bring a delivery upstairs while you’re sweating, covered in dust trying to pack up an entire apartment the night before moving. delivery guy had a car!!! parked perfectly outside the building! i am sympathetic to bike-delivery folks who are nervous to leave their bikes outside(but really just bring a lock with you. it’s basically part of your uniform if you’re a bike delivery person), but this guy had a CAR. when i called the restaurant to see where my order was, the man on the phone was rude and obviously no help at all either. he told me to go downstairs because«they don’t go upstairs». no excuse. never ordering delivery from here again. not worth it.

I am a self proclaimed pizza snob and very particular when it comes to my pizza. This is one of the few places that has left up to the expectations that I had for it and actually deliver excellent pizza in New York City. I sampled the white slice the Sicilian slice and the regular cheese slice. All three were really, but the plain cheese really hit it home. It reminded me of my favorite pizza place in New Jersey which was top rated. The people are nice, and it’s cheap. Love it! Two enthusiastic thumbs up.

I ordered a large plain pizza and was very disappointed. The pizza was cold and tasted like cardboard. There’s no flavor in the sauce and the cheese is hard. The delivery man Waited outside my apt building so I had to go all the way down and outside to get it. The point of delivery is to stay indoors! Not happy at all.

This pizzeria has one of the best baked ziti I’ve ever had. It’s just so cheesy and made just right. Their slices are a good price and also really cheesy. I also love their zeppoles. Ugh I’m craving some right now.

The pizza isn’t bad, the crust is. Bland, not fluffy or crispy. Cardboard. Sometimes I’ve ordered and it was all very good but lately it’s been very bland.

Pretty straight forward. Good, Tasty, and not over priced like Rosa’s.

If I find something gross like hair, cigarette butt, etc. then I would’ve put 1 star but since that wasn’t the case, I gave 2 stars. They use the worst tasting cheese in NYC. I don’t know whether they add salt to their sauce but their pizza is too salty for me and not cheesy enough. It’s one of those worse sour thin pizzas that lack thick cheese. Anyone know why different neighborhoods have different pizza taste? Ridgewood pizzas tend to be saltier and less cheesier than elsewhere IMO.

Got delivery from here with friends who. .. love getting delivery from here. You know what? It is fine, it is serviceable, edible, solid, average. But a bit bland and nothing to get overly excited about, still. Am I just crazy?

A place I have renamed«Hit or Miss Pizza» because some of their offerings are big hits and others not so much. Hits: Best thing they make are the Pepperoni Rolls. Little pizza dough balls with stuffed with Pepperoni and cheese. Alot of places make this and Carlos makes the best. Crunchy in spots, soft in the center, warm and delicious and cheap. Another hit are the garlic knots. Terrific little flavor packed knots served with marinara. Their Italian dishes like the Chicken Francese and Tilapia are also very good, Surprisingly for a neighborhood pizza spot. Their house salad is also pretty good and they put olives in it and I love olives. Tiramasu is better than you would expect. Misses: Biggest miss are the Buffalo wings. They are like wings in ketchup and the chicken itself was tough. Considering they have a huge banner for the wings in the window I figured they would be a specialty. Probably worst wings I have ever had. Their Sfingoli Slice was also a miss. Just pretty bland but as a Sicilian I have a high ceiling for this slice. The pizza in general falls somewhere in between. Good in a pinch but not something I would travel for. Basic pizza shop slice.

I live right by this place and my gf and I think it’s a better than average NY slice, definitely better than any other of my other regular neighborhood NY pizza joints. I almost always just get a cheese slice. Sometimes wings. I’ve been to Rosa’s and it’s good, but I’d actually rate it about the same as Carlo’s — significantly better than average, but I don’t think they’re the same league as places like Di Fara or Totonno’s.

Carlos Pizza’s food offerings are totally solid, if admittedly not in Rosa’s Pizza’s league. But what no one knows(even though they advertise it on their awning) is that they offer cappuccinos and espresso. Their cappuccino, which they quirkily add cinnamon to, is *delicious*. With the exception of Bun-Ker which is way out of the way, it’s better than anything else in the neighborhood coffee-wise by far incl. Barcey’s.

Carlos Pizza is a respectable neighborhood pizza joint. The menu is surprisingly large and, frankly, the quality varies a lot. The cheese slices are decent, but the«taco pizza» is an abomination. The cesar salad is good, but the wings are awful(baked!) and should never be ordered, for any reason. The standout though is their calzone. It is excellent. For about $ 5, they’ll make you a fresh, meal-sized calzone, packed with delicious mozzarella and ricotta. For a little bit more, they’ll put ham in there too. I order it with a side of marinara sauce and I always come away wondering how it only costs about $ 5. The guys who work here are always really nice too, and that, almost as much as the calzone, keeps me coming back.

Carlos Pizza is located not too far, approximately 4 blocks, from the Seneca Ave stop off the M train. It’s a great neighborhood pizzeria that offers really good sicilian slices. I thought it was pretty cool and different I was able to pay for my food after I sat down and enjoyed my pizza. Most pizza shops make you pay upfront. My best friend and I also shared an order of garlic knots and it was really good too! We usually get a side of tomato sauce to dip it in but was so good without it. I can’t wait to go back and try some of their pasta some dude behind us ordered. It was huge, smelled awesome, and they served him some bread and butter on the side. That’s queens for you!

Courteous staff, timely delivery, delicious pizza at a low price! These guys are great and even call me «friend» upon a successful 15 minute delivery. What remains to be seen is their long-term consistency, however I have heard that they’ve been around for a while, so they are doing great. Their pizza consists of thin slices with plenty of cheese covering a good amount of tomato sauce underneath. Whether you like cheese or tomato sauce, this place is for you! One thing I have noticed is that you tend to taste more of the cheese when chewing longer and more of the tomato sauce in the early stages of chewing. My recommendation is the Deluxe Pie for $ 12.75

I was not too impressed with their pizza. It looks like it has been sitting out forever and the only fresh pizza is the cheese slice, which they can add requested toppings to before reheating. The pizza is just so-so: –the crust is decent, but not very flavorful –it is very thin, which is my preference –sauce is too sweet –cheese is kind of bland But, it will definitely do in a pinch and beats the hell out of chain places. Their Penne Vodka was delicious an the serving was huge. What keeps me coming back is the garlic knots! They are small here, but covered in garlic, parmesean, and basil. So good! They keep the place really clean, or it was when I was there. The staff is very friendly as well. Sicily’s Best is still my favorite slice in the area.

We ordered from here a few nights ago and were somewhat underwhelmed. The pizza tastes all right, at best, and would place somewhere above Domino’s and Papa John’s, but below the average slice in NYC. The garlic knots were criminally small, about the size of a munchkin from Dunkin Donuts. While the food was unimpressive, the delivery service was substantially worse. The delivery guy really could have cared less what our order was, and simply demanded the money over and over again, in spite of not actually giving us what we had ordered. OK, so many delivery guys suck, I know, but maybe if the food had been good enough this would be overlooked. Probably won’t order from here again, but it was worth a shot.

Three stars for consistantly tasty pizza. One extra star for the best garlic knots in the area. Five knots will run you one whole dollar. They are not overly greasy(like I want them to be), but they are flavorful with flakes of fresh herbs. Also, try the pepperoni rolls – hot without burning the plentiful cheese. The zepole also rocks. Imagine a slice out of a stromboli featuring thick cut ham, cheese, and a thin bit of pepperoni. It’s pretty tasty and a bit different from the standard slice. The menu also has a number of heros and hot dishes that are on my payday tasting schedule. If it is anywhere near as tempting on the plate as they are in the photos, the shrimp parmigiana may be my new favorite menu item.
