Admit it, Ridgewood, Queens and North Bushwick: you’ve been looking for it. And now you have found it: a quality wine and liquor store in Ridgewood that DELIVERS. I’ve visited this fine establishment at its street corner location. It’s a bit cramped inside, but full of a good selection of spirits. The staff are mature and knowledgeable, and pretty damned friendly. It has a very Italian-​American atmosphere. But what sets Charles Reina & Sons apart is that unlike any other Ridgewood liquor establishment, CR&S will bring bottles straight to your door.
Celebrating the receipt of solid evidence (a smoking gun, really) for a current lawsuit… don’t worry, I’m the plaintiff… but it can be just as nerve-​wracking… I wanted to pop a bottle of bubbly to honor the occasion. Earlier that day, coming home from the gym, I’d read «We Deliver» on the Reina awning but not given much thought to it. Suddenly, I realized, hey wait a minute… and I phoned the Reina gang, asked for some bottles of champagne, and down they came. They card you, take your credit card information, and 10 minutes later, a VERY personable, professional fella was at my building door with a handsomely-​wrapped package of bubbly.
Waste no time. This is the one you’ve been looking for. Don’t waste time with Mira down the block and its creepy, racist female owner. Hang with the Reinas. Despite the Spanish name, I think they’re Italian.
