At one time we’d tried to come to here on a busy late Friday night and could not get a table. Finally, we decided to reserved a table. What all the other reviewers been writing are pretty much true. The food were all surprisingly yummy deliciously! It is a small establishment which looks to hold about 26. We ordered the best falafels ever tasted(we even ordered an extra for takeout), hummus with tasty bread, Kabob combo for two which consists of beef cubes, very moist tender chicken cubes and the juicy Koobideh(mixed of lamb & beef) with a side of bismati rice and tomato, cucumber salad. The service is a bit slow because there is only one waiter, so have to be patience, plus you must tell him if you want glass of water or bottled. We will definitely be coming back!

I tried this place once with takeout, I was pleasantly surprised. It was not amazing but it was good. I tend to be pretty picky when it come to kebabs, the rice the flavor. The chicken kebab I had was well cooked but not over cooked. Thanks rice was okay nothing to flavorful. They do give you this hot sauce on the side that is good. I need to try this place again but eating in not out.

A+. They have the best falafels I’ve eaten anywhere! The little touches like the bread and tea make the meal extra special. The man who is always working there when I go is amazing; he makes you feel like you are a special guest at his home. Because of his kind and courteous service, and outstanding falafels, I will keep returning. Hope they make more restaurants like this one in North Jersey; truly a gem!

It’s right across from the Whole Foods in Ridgewood. My sister was in the mood for Mediterranean food and I wanted to try Persian food. The kebobs were amazing, the rice delicious and I normally don’t like cooked tomatoes but this was fantastic. The gentleman serving was helpful with the menu. I will definitely go back… soon!

I’m not sure what I love more about this place, the delicious food or the nice little man with the glasses, who works here! I once mistook him as the owner(because he is sooo nice and patient and helpful!)and he kindly informed me that he is just someone who enjoys his job. The service industry needs more cheerful and hospitable people like him. Anyway, the food is great. We always get take out(chicken sultani!) and it’s always on time. The only reason why I am giving it four stars and not five is because I came here the other day and there was some other guy working who wasn’t friendly, seemingly had allergies or the flu and the food itself wasn’t consistent(different portions and different bread). Not a big deal but worth mentioning, as I hope this was just a one time fluke.

Came here for lunch the other day with my boyfriend, I had the chicken Kebabs and he had Barg which is a beef kebab. The meats were so tender and the basmati rice was cooked to perfection. Everything melted in your mouth! The only thing I didn’t like was the Kashkeh badamjan that we had for appetizer. It needs more Kashk! The saffron ice cream was also great! We will def be coming back just work on your kashkeh badamjan :)

Pretty good Persian food. We had a party of 6 there for lunch. The place was packed which should be because of the quality of the food overall. We started off with few appetizers: mast mousir, kashk e bademjan, and Tahdig. The Tahdig with Gheymeh on it was DELICIOUS!!! We also ordered different dishes. Kabob combo for one or two is the one I really recommend. Finally, we ended our lunch with Faloude and Saffron Ice-cream which were fantastic! Service was good but could be better. The only things that avoided a five-star review were the dough, rice, and ambience. However, I recommend it and will go back.

I wanted to love this little place, bc the people are so nice and its a cozy, family spot. But it was just ok… I wouldn’t go back. Had lamb kabob platter and gyro pita. The food was really just standard.

Quaint, authentic, small restaurant in the heart of Ridgewood. The Gormeh Sabzi and chicken kabobs were delicious. The Taadig was good but could have been more fresh. Pretty good falafel. Bean soup was hearty and minty. Bread was OK but nothing special. Rice was ok(both regular, and with dill weed) but was nothing special.

This is a great kabob place but let’s please call this for what it is: an exceptionally good Persian restaurant. Suggest the stews particularly, such as ghormeh sabzi and fesenjan. This is simply better than any Persian restaurant in Westwood LA. Fantastic.

Excellent kubideh, and jujeh kabob, better than any Restuarant in NY, NJ areas. Outstanding service and smiley face everyday lunch and dinner. Kale pache is outstanding. 11÷1÷2015−−− excellent service, as matter of fact, most pleasant waiter that anyone can ask for. We wee group of 12 and dine(not take out). Not sure what previous reviewer is talking about. BTW, didn’t any positive reviewer(Yoo so) except for Starbucks. Let’s be real, what can go wrong with cup of coffee??? Come on Yoo So.

Came here with my cousin and his family. The owner was very patient with us and our group which included many small children. He gave us excellent recommendations from the menu and was very attentive to our needs.

Place is great. The portions are lovely and the staff is super friendly. It’s a very casual atmosphere and also BYOB. Can’t go wrong coming here to try their food.

Love this place, excellent service the owner was very attentive. I went here for lunch with a friend, we ordered the chicken kebab for our main course and it exceeded my expectations. P.S –it’s a really small place and the owner mentioned to us that during dinner time there’s a long line.

So this week we went to a Persian/Iranian restaurant l. Let me tell you this new, the real small places have some of the best food I have ever tried. Food was good, service was good so I can say I enjoyed it. In the picture you see lamb kabob and saffron rice. Fixed every last bit of it too.

Have had several dishes since the first time with others. I wish they made their own doogh but at least the brand they get is good. The odd Californian one with what seems to be seltzer water in there as well is frankly weird but it tastes good also. In terms of appetizers, the Ash reshteh(bean soup) is highly recommended. As good if not better than almost ever place in the city. The tahdiq(hardened rice) might look pricey but this plus another appetizer is way more than enough for dinner and alone is big enough for lunch. The fact that it comes with a stew topping makes it all worth it but I wish they still allowed it to be topped with Fessenjan(pomegranate/walnut stew.) Kashk-e baademjan(eggplant dip) is also excellent with a lot of walnuts. In terms of stews, both the Ghormeh Sabzi(stewed herbs with greens/meat/dried lime) and Gheimeh(the same but with peas/beans and a more red sauce) are excellent, probably the former being my favorite outside of the Fessenjan which I mentioned before. They should offer some vegetarian stews also but I understand why not. The kebabs are also good. I haven’t had them as much as I prefer stews but I have tried them. The desserts and bread are fine, nothing amazing but quite solid.

This authentically perfumed Persian cuisine is presented in a smallish luncheonette style setting. I enjoyed it as an alternative to our periodic Turkish fix in Cliffside. The setting is casual and our party of 4 was seated right away. Despite the fact that only one server was caring for about 9 tables, our food arrived promptly and the server was very cordial and took the time to describe the food in great detail. It was encouraging to see so many ethnic Persians filing in for a late Sunday evening meal, adding to the authenticity of the experience. The meal was great! The Gheimeh Bademjan(beef and lentil stew) was nicely seasoned with clove, cardamom and cinnamon, and amped up with citrus from dried lime. Nice. The Fasenjan(pomegranate, chicken and walnut stew) had similar spicing but instead of lime, the citrus note comes from the pomegranate and the richness from the walnuts. Both dishes were served over saffron rice and read exotic and ate satisfying without being in the least bit greasy. The kabobs were tasty too — we had the Soltani variation with chicken and lamb/beef combo. Very satisfying with hints of the same Persian spicing we tasted in the stews — and perfectly grilled. I had mint tea with the meal, which was the perfect accompaniment. I have been meaning to try this place for some time, and I’m glad I didn’t let my cynicism about Ridgewood dining keep us on the sidelines today. The server even threw in a gratis kabob to make up for an ordering mistake. Classy on their part and it translates to plenty of good will on mine.

Stopped in because of the good reviews and I must say this place lived up to the hype. Grape leaves-Excellent, Kabob Combo-Excellent, Baklava-Excellent. The lamb was cooked to perfection and the basmati rice is to die for if you can appreciate rice. Waiter/owner was very nice and provided quick and great service. «I’ll be back» –A. Schwarzenegger

This review is for eating there, which is definitely NOT recommended. First sign of a problem was we were the only ones there on a Thursday at around 6:30pm. Next was when we asked for water, the waiter, cashier(cook?), brought us 4 bottles of water. When we asked for tap water, he grunted and then brought us regular water. The kabobs were just ok. Not sure what all the fuss is, basically grilled meat. As for the Fesenjan, it looked like well«stuff happened». Seriously, it looked foul. I still can’t believe this place stays in business, but I’m guessing their take-out must be phenomenal or this area doesn’t have any other kabob options. Overall, I’d avoid this place.
