Coffee, pastries, and staff are all fantastic! My favorite neighborhood café. Cozy and charming.

Stopped by for a bagel but took a recommendation from the hottie at the register for a garlic cheddar biscuit with black bean spread. The food here is matched evenly by the staff and service provided– top notch. Prices are incredibly reasonable for excellent, quality food. I highly recommend stopping by. Thanks Celeste and the gang at Norma’s for an awesome experience

Coffee is really good and pastries are generally awesome. I highly recommend the apple turnovers and the blueberry cake. The sandwiches are mediocre, they use these odd egg whites that are prepackaged and absolutely atrocious. I wouldn’t waste my money. Decent amount of seating. Service is a bit hit-or-miss, usually the girls are nice, but once in a while you get someone who’s in a bad mood. The prices are a little high, I don’t come here as often as I would if it were cheaper. Wi-fi is good. Generally recommended, stick to a cup of coffee and a pastry though.

Good food. Good coffee. One problem The staff is sometimes slow. I speak from experience. Other than that this place is great!!! A real gem in Ridgewood. Oh and de-coffee is expensive here.

Got the Hummus Plate and The Mozzarella sandwich. It was soo good. The hummus wasn’t too garlicky and the bread on the sandwich was nice and crunchy. I shared a large lemonade with my sister. But due to miscommunication between the cashier and the kitchen, we had to wait a short while for the sandwich but we got a free small lemonade. The people there are super friendly too!

Updating!!! Was in the area and chose to give them another try. I was welcomed with a smile! Tons of fresh goodies. Grabbed a chocolate croissant me and my 7 year old. She also added a blueberry lemonade she says is yummy. Food is great but customer service is key. 5 stars this visit from me!

This little corner coffee/bake shop kicks ass! The exterior and interior are very charming. Inside there’s a handful of tables and outside there’s an additional 2. There’s barely standing room when the place gets more than 10 customers. They also sell art and jewelry from local artists and designers. The service is friendly(at least the people that were there when I went in). There’s a bit of a wait when you order food but it’s well worth it! Here’s what we ordered: Large iced coffee $ 3 — REALLY good coffee, way stronger than I expected, not too acidic and not sour Hot coffee w. shot of espresso $ 4 — My coworker said he was impressed New Yorker with SPICYBACON on a ciabatta roll $ 5 — Oily and a bit messy to eat but delicious! I would get this again in a heartbeat! Raspberry Coconut Bread Pudding $ 2 — It was only okay, I think I’ll try a different baked good next time :)

This place is great! The coffee is really good and the biscuit sandwiches they make with spicy bacon and eggs are delicious. The biscuits are so moist and may be the best ones I have tasted and I’ve had biscuits alot. They have really good sodas in their refrigerator that you can get when you order your food. There is free WiFi too which I didn’t take advantage of. I didn’t give it 5 stars just because the seating is very minimal and it’s hard to get a seat to relax and eat and drink your coffee. But besides that, this place is great. Can’t wait to go again!

I’m a huge fan of Julia’s, so it’s only fitting that I would like Norma’s. I will admit that when I ordered the tuna melt I was a bit put off by the yellowish color, but a friend said«it’s mustard», which is weird to me with tuna, but I went with it, and it was delicious. Very good prices, cute, really small cozy space. Somehow the vibe reminds me of the café on the tv show«friends» only much smaller — it just seems like a comfortable hang out spot, but with really great food.

What a find! Norma’s and Julia’s, my goshdang, Ridgewood is lucky. Had a very hard time deciding which treat to indulge in. So far something like«Muffin tops,» their ham and cheese croissant, the oatmeal cookie… all super yum. But honestly, such a little place with so many different delectables! *skip…peanut butter cookie with jam on top I am SUPER glad I don’t live close by.

Great corner shop with a very cozy and eclectic vibe. I’ve been here twice for their amazing iced coffee and is some of the best I’ve ever had. To round it up to around an even $ 5 grab a sweet treat. People rave on the bundt cakes which look amazing but they have always sold out of them by the time I get there(next time I’m going earlier) but I’ve had both a sweet blueberry and lemon cake as well as a moist and decadent chocolate cupcake… both complimenting the tasty iced coffee. Writing this reviewing and remembering how fresh and tasty everything was is making my mouth water to go back for more! I did not give the 5 stars as I wish the inside was bigger to accommodate more people and more tree nut free options. Otherwise great spot and two nice ladies that do the baking daily and give good recommendations.

This place is like crawling distance from my apartment so I come here all the time. The staff is so down to earth and friendly, the place is clean and efficient, the food is good & super reasonably priced, their open hours are cool, & they even sell locally homemade jewlery(of which I’ve bought a lot) & other goodies which is fantastic. So, given all the above, I feel absolutely terrible posting this but: the coffee just isn’t that good. At all. Which is a tragedy to me because I want to love this place wholeheartedly but a coffee shop with subpar coffee =:(. It’s not their baristas’ technique or anything; it’s just the coffee itself. Can you guys please consider sourcing from some other roastery? I’d give you my first born. I’m still giving them five stars because I think they get an A for effort & all the abovementioned awesomeness, but if you’re looking for legit coffee in Ridgewood there are better options.

So I found this place the old fashioned way… I was walking, saw a guy with a sexy looking coffee and I go «yo where you get that?» he goes«normas go up to Forest and make a right» and so I did… Cash only… I legit paid with change but I smashed down that coffee and was happy as could be. Was cold as F****k that day.

Had the hummus sandwich and it was a hit. Nice to know there are healthy options in Ridgewood. Im looking forward to trying more the items on their menu. Came back recently and tried the spicy bacon sandwich, added some cheddar cheese. It’s a bit spicy so get a drink on the side. The bread was toasted, very good and filling.

Norma’s located on the corner of Catalpa Ave and Forest Avenue; it’s a cozy place where it feels as if you are in grandma’s house. I’ve been working in the Ridgewood area for the past 7 years and even though I’ve heard my coworkers say that Norma’s has the best coffee in town, I never made the trip to it because of the walk from work. Little Coffee Shop closed down for business and I was in the mood for some extra fuel and Rudy’s was too much of a walk for me. As soon as I got there around 9am there was a line out the door, I automatically thought this is a good sign that everything is good in there. I only wanted coffee but it smelled too good to not get something for breakfast, I got the New Yorker Egg Sandwich with scrambled egg and cheese with spicy bacon on a biscuit. I waited 15 minutes for this sandwich and it was one of the best breakfast sandwiches I’ve ever had and I was disappointed that for the past 7 years working in this area that I never gave it the chance to try it out. Too bad the wait was too long, as I waited I was noticing my surroundings and came across their«good food takes time» sign which is technically true but when I am only given 15 minute break this is not enough time to get back to work on time. Even though it took me 30 minutes to get back to work just to get a cup of coffee and a sandwich, the overall experience was above average and everything tasted good. I will be coming back but when I have more time for the wait around.

I’m happy I randomly stumbled upon this place. This cozy coffee shop is placed on the corner of a fairly busy street in Ridgewood. It was a Sunday morning when I decided to stop for a coffee break on my morning run, so it was packed. Every table was filled. I only ordered coffee, but the food looked delicious. They only take cash, so since I was on a run, I only had my debit on me. The lady working behind the coffee machine was nice enough to let me run over to the nearest ATM and pull out cash. Other than that, I could see grabbing a cup of coffee with a friend here or even a bite to eat. The chi tea latte was okaaaay,(fairly small for the price) so, if it wasn’t for that, I would have given this place full stars.

A unique café hidden in Glendale/Ridgewood, Norma’s is a wonderful part of the neighborhood. Their drinks are well made and they have almond milk. The service is good most of the time but it’s not consistent. Sometimes there will be a worker who gives you an attitude or one that makes a mess of your bagel. However, all places have a bad apple once in a while. They have really affordable lunch options, including a hummus sandwich and a bagel with vegan cream cheese. Their pastry section also always changes with muffins and cookies of all different combination of ingredients. The workers seldom know what the pastries are but you can’t go wrong with whatever you choose. They also usually have some vegan choices but you have to ask which ones since there are no signs.

Robert Palmer probably said it best… Simply irresistible she’s so fine, there’s no tellin’ where the money went Simply irresistible she’s all mine, there’s no other way to go This is a little corner shop of the utopian manner. I don’t care if you have to wait, or even stand a few minutes for a table. It’s quaint, trendy folks and not trendy folks, happy people behind the counter, smiles all around and because… it’s delishiousness X infinity. I wanted to try it all, but I settled for the breakfast biscuit sandwich. Egg, cheese, mushrooms, ham, bacon… and that delicious garlic cheese biscuit. High five and a happy dance it was so good. «G» had the tuna melt on the same garlic cheese biscuit. We actually did a split and share the sandwiches. I am not a big tuna fan, but this was good. Iced coffees were full bodied and smooth. Music was a Spotify mix which was eclectic and great for the surroundings. Interesting artwork on the walls. People at adjoining tables were friendly and talkative which added to the atmosphere. A few wifi internet hoarders in the restaurant taking up valuable butt area so the rest of us have to wait on seating. Don’t you just hate those people who sit there for two hours nursing one drink and not contributing to the turn over necessary for the businesses to make a decent living. Maybe store owners are nice enough not to make mention of it, but customers who are actually wanting to sit down and enjoy their items should not be inconvenienced by those on computers. These stores are not library’s and if you have that much work to do on the computer just go home and do your work. Your clearly not enjoying the riches of the ambiance and the interaction with the customers in the establishment. There I said it. I heart this place so much.

I literally don’t have words for how adorable this place is! The food is all home made; made to PERFECTION, I might add. The home make all kinds of bagels and sweets. The locations is a perfect«café» size, not huge and not too small. There is art all around the café, which is a really nice touch. They have nice music playing, which also adds to the artsy ambience! Don’t get me started on the staff! They are the sweetest people! I give them all the credit in the world for dealing with all the people who are constantly in and out! This place really must be a gold-mine! They carry soy milk and I’d bet there are other, «healthier» alternatives available. Right here, in the heart of Ridgewood, Queens, amongst six-family houses just off of an avenue is the perfect place for a homely, hip place like this! I will be a regular here soon!
