Rite Aid

Cashier that ring me up had a bit of an attitude. Interrupted me a few times saying «EXCUSE ME» and «You’re confusing me» when I had questions about my order. Will probably stop in again but if I see this woman I’ll drop my items and head for the door.

The employees at the Rite Aid in Ridgewood aren’t particularly friendly or helpful. In the dozen or so years I’ve been shopping there I don’t think I’ve ever once been offered assistance, and when I go out of my way to ask for it, I get an aisle number and that’s about it. In fact the only time I can recall ever being approached by a member of the Rite Aid staff I was maybe 13 or 14 years old – a couple of friends and I scarcely had two feet in the door before we were accosted by a woman demanding to know where our parents were. We had no idea what we had done to deserve this chastising, but apparently some kids had been stealing stuff. She eventually deigned to let us in, but we were shaken and left.
Aside from the staff being nothing to write home about, the merchandise isn’t so disorganized as to offend, but it’s not what you would call «tidy». That being said, they do have a great selection of most things, but I often find myself driving to the CVS one town over instead simply because I prefer the shopping experience to that at Rite Aid.
Overall I can’t bring myself to rate this location anything more than «Meh.» Sorry, Rite Aid!

I second Daniel. This Rite Aid has almost anything you need. But… the prices are slightly higher than one would expect. Located on Ridgewood Avenue, across from the movie theatre and near the Starbucks. Gets the job done, but overpriced.

Need a Band-​Aid? Got it. Where’s the lemonade? Over there? Need a clock? Got it. Need socks? Got ‘em. Need… name it, and Rite Aid’s got it. Slightly more expensive than I’d like, and not easy to navigate (for that matter, no Rite Aid is), but it’s got a pretty substantial selection of just about everything. Not bad.
