Scorpion Cafe Sporting Social Club Corporation

After walking past this place multiple times in the past few weeks, and not being entirely sure what it was, I threw myself into an internet search to figure it out. I THOUGHT it was a bar… it looks like a bar… but I couldn’t find anything online that confirmed that and I didn’t want to go blindly walking into some sketchy members only place. They have a Unilocal page, but no reviews or information (until now… you’re welcome!). Facebook page, but again, no reviews or information. I called the number listed on google and a woman answered. I said «Hi, is this Scorpion?» She said, «uhh, no.» Afterward, I realized she probably thought I was looking for some drug dealer. Oh well, I’m not sure what that phone number was. So after dinner, my two friends and I decided to take the plunge. We walked in and found a cozy little bar with three patrons and one bartender. There were a few small tables, a dart board, and a bathroom with a dusty rose toilet. We were into it. I ordered a sapphire and tonic, a vodka tonic, and a vodka soda. The two tonic drinks went down without a hitch, but then she placed a glass filled with a dark liquid in front of me. When I asked what it was, she told me it was my vodka soda. I had to clarify CLUB soda, and she was very nice about remaking it. Plus, one of the dudes sitting at the bar got a free drink. The best part… our drinks were $ 5 each. Since this place is only three blocks from my house, I definitely plan on becoming a regular.
