Storefront BYOB restaurant with nice atmosphere. Reasonable pricing, Groupon was well excepted. Wide assortment of menu options gave plenty of choices. Reservations suggested. Wait staff knowledgeable and friendly, but a bit disorganized. Portions were as expected and appetizers very flavorful.

This was our first time trying out Tabboule. Good part– — We were seated even though we didn’t call in for a reservation. — The girls serving us were very good and courteous. — The grape leaves and phool. Bad part– — We walked in with a groupon and informed before ordering that we had it, but was not accepted while paying the bill. — Inspite of showing a purchased groupon email as well as on the app, it was rudely rejected by the owner saying it wont be accepted on the same day of purchase. It will be accepted only after 24 hrs of purchase. There is no mention of such clause on groupon fine print and we have been a regular groupon user and never have had this issue ever before. — Garlic potatoes had no garlic flavor n not seasoned at all. — Chicken kabob was bland n lacked flavor. It takes a lot to write a bad review, but we were extremely disappointed and do not intend to return again.

Amazing place. Gets better every time I go. Make sure to have the grill cheese/sourek/mix grill. The hummus is top 2 I’ve ever had next of course to my mothers ;). A+ to the ownership.

Came here for dinner with a Grupon. The waitress we had was very friendly, and the food was delicious. My boyfriend had beef shwarma, and I had chicken kebab. We also split a baklava for dessert. They are also BYOB.

Ever since moving from CT almost 5 years ago, I haven’t been able to find a favorite Middle Eastern cuisine until Tabboule. Everything is consistently delicious! Thank you Chuck!

Service was good but food wasn’t the best. Falafel was really dry and flavorless. Hummus with chicken was ok but nothing special. Babaganoosh was pretty good. I won’t be back.

What a find. Absolutely excellent! Chuck is terrific and it is facinating to watch him expedite 10 plates all at once. Always a smile and a pleasure to visit. Highly recommended. Every dish is like a homemade dinner at grandmas house.

Me and my girlfriend eat here at least once a week and every time i bring new friends and family they fall in love with the place. The food is amazing and the owner is the friendliest guy in the world. He takes passion in is cooking and goes above and beyond to make sure his guests are happy with their orders. You are a fool if you don’t like this place and i bet you spend your time in the ball pit at mcdonalds.

Love their Lebanese fare, always fresh ingredients and delicious flavor. You have to try the cheese sticks app, they are incredible! The beef shawarma is my go to meal and it’s a generous portion size. I have never had a bad meal here and it’s nice not having to battle for a parking spot to get fed in Ridgewood. Also keep an eye out, they frequently do groupons/living social deals.

Never again! My husband and I are fans of Middle Eastern cuisine and we were really disappointed. The grape leaves didn’t seem fresh, the hummus had a funky color. We ended throwing away most of our to-go meal away. I’m sorry but we won’t be going back.

I truly love this place! This is the fourth time I’ve eaten here and I haven’t been disappointed yet. The food is delicious. The cilantro potatoes are amazing. The service is quick and very attentive. It’s also BYOB so grab a bottle of wine before your dine. The owner is so nice, he always asks if everything was okay with a big smile on his face. The food and atmosphere are awesome. Highly recommend it!

Never been to this place and not going ever I think. Had a worst experience on phone. Owner/manager is so rude. I called in to make a reservation and told them we have groupon for 2. I asked for a high chair. Person who picked up the call said they won’t give us high chair. The most stupid reason I have ever heard. He said groupon was only for 2 people and he won’t give us high chair. I have 8 months old daughter. Was she going to eat food for one person??? I haven’t heard this excuse ever before whenever we used groupon. Not going to try this place because of The extreme rude behavior.

Great for a chatty lunch — we ordered many small plates — hummus, grilled octopus(possibly the best I’ve ever had) kebabs, and some eggplant appetizers. Service was just enough, it was quiet and we talked for two hours, lingered over coffee and enjoyed a fabulous day.

Really wouldn’t give this spot anything over one star. Firstly, tiny restaurant in a strip mall, only a few tables and youre basically bumping elbows with your neighbor. The kitchen is right inside the restaurant, so you can see the chef prepare your food, kind of cool i guess. Onto the menu, extremely high prices for such a casual establishment. Mediocre service– served by a teenage girl who looked scared to work there, and had zero idea of what anything on the menu was. Ordered falafel platter, chicken shawarma platter and some sort of a mixed grill, along with hummus and tabouli appetizer. Tabouli appetizer– TINY! and expensive. almost all of it was tomatoes… with a sprinkling of parsley. When we asked the waitress to ask if we could have more parsley in the salad, she came back saying the restaurant ran out of parsley. You would think a restaurant named Tabouleh would have a decent tabouli, but alas not. Onto main course, every dish was just so small, each member of my family finished all of the food and still left hungry. Average food, nothing special at all. Asked for extra garlic spread, and the waitress misunderstood for more pita bread, and literally took about 15 mins just to bring our extra dip. Ordered Kanafa for dessert, it literally tasted like it had been a frozen version from a supermarket which had been microwaved. So disappointing.

They have a Unilocal check in coupon that expired in 2012… the lady serving us had no idea what I was talking about with it, so that should have been my first warning. Her knowledge of the food and service never got better, so there is that. We ended up spending about 3 hours here because of how long the food took, I think they cook each meal by itself, the kitchen is super small(like just a grill) and in the middle of the restaurant. Our food came out one plate at a time with a decent wait in between, this was odd because we pretty much all for the schwarma and it was cooking on the roller in front of us the entire time, they just had to add rice. If the length of time it took to be served wasn’t bad enough, the entire restaurant ends up becoming hot as a furnace by the time we were served which even being from Florida made me super uncomfortable, and none of this is to even comment on the food. If the food was good, I would have understood and just told you to get take-out and solve these issues, but my god was it bad. The steak schwarma was literally straight lemon juice, the chicken was a little bit better, but both still tasted like citrus fruit and have no meat-like taste. The rice was tasteless, which did serve to cut the overwhelming taste of the steak, so maybe that was intentional, I don’t know. Also the hummus was the worst I have had, I would rather have Sabra hummus from the supermarket, skip that entirely and save yourself $ 7. Lastly the pita… when warm the pita is nice, the problem is it only stays warm for about 10 seconds and then when soft it resembles concrete… and for the exorbitant amount of money they want per plate($ 18 for the schwarma) I was shocked, I don’t think the food was good enough to be worth half that amount. I guess the cost is somewhat offset but the availability of a groupon($ 29 fro $ 50 off) except they didn’t want to accept it. The groupon says for 2 people and we were 9 — which is 2 plus 7 more, on an almost $ 300 bill they were complaining about that, finally I stared down the owner because he never left the kitchen to resolve this issue and they agreed to accept it. Thankfully I was there with great company, because otherwise I might have just walked out during the 1.5 hour wait for our food.

I love this place. We’ve been here several times and are impressed with the food every single time. They also do catering– we used them for our 30 people Christmas dinner– delicious! The owner is very involved(he’s the chef) and is very pleasant. He understands Lebanese cuisine and does it well. They do not offer alcoholic beverages though so make sure you bring your own– or buy from next door supermarket. I would definitely recommend this place.

If the restaurant executes the dish they are named after to a level below mediocre, that says it all. The worst meal I have had in years. Avoid at all costs.

What a great little place! Tabboule was my first foray into Lebanese food and I was not disappointed. Everything I tried was absolutely delicious. Portions were excellent, the presentation beautiful, the timing perfect, and the staff(Chuck!) friendly and accommodating. The owner, Chuck, was amazing. He took his time answering every question we threw at him and, as he heard it was my sister’s birthday, offered to give BOTH sauces and mix and match the kebob meats to suit her liking. It was also really nice that he had SUGGESTIONS. I hate when you ask what a waiter what their favorite is and they say«oh, everything is good». Chuck was upfront about what he personally thought was the best he had to offer. It was excellent customer service. We even stayed a while and chatted with him about his life, his restaurant, and his family. I ordered the Shawerma plater with chicken and beef and it was excellent. Dipped in the Tahini sauce it bordered on heavenly. The sides were all fabulous and excellently prepared. If you are looking to try something new, check out Tabboule, it’ll be worth it!
