Lotus Mountain Suites

My party of 6 stayed in the Gallery Suite on Main Street for a week; this included 2 small children. The suite is comfortable, beautifully designed and decorated. You are right on Main Street and within walking distance to the hot springs, a brewery, several restaurants, and the local clinic (a relief when you have an accident-​prone child). There are 1−½ lovely bathrooms to share. Things to know: strong, free wifi, no dishwasher, no broom or dustpan, no cable (just some DVDs that cut off the last ¹⁄₃ of some of the movies, like Iron Man 3), no A/​C, just floor fans (not that you often need a/​c in Colorado, but there was a heat wave there when we visited). There is no washer/​dryer and the closest one as of this writing is in Ridgway. It was nice knowing my kids could get a little loud and not have to worry about neighbors being disturbed. Ourey has some wonderful hiking trails (take the kids on the Baby Bathtubs one), in driving distance to Telluride (free gondola), Durango, and Ridgway. We would stay there again (but we’ll bring our broom and dustpan next time).
