First off, let me start that the staff is great, even though were really didn’t care for our most recent server. So the other half and I have been in search of all you can eat crab legs. We found them here at the Royal Inn and Wednesday nights. We’ve gone about 5 or six times now. $ 25.99 a pop, includes soup or salad and your choice of potato or pasta. The first few times we went, the food was excellent. The last two times, no so much. We both noticed this the last two times, but your first plate comes out with perfect crab legs, and then the ones after that are so dried out there was not even any water dripping from them. We took a few weeks off, and just recently returned again. The same deal, the first plate perfect, but the ones after that were even more horrible then the last time. They were small, the shells were so soft you couldn’t even snap them open, and then the meat, omg the meat was horrible! It was dry, hardly any in the legs, odd colored, and omg the taste! My other half’s comment was I think this shipment was supposed to go to the cat food factory. The butter didn’t even help. They even smelled gross. I wanted to say something, but the way my other half is, I didn’t. That’s what Unilocal is for. Other than their pasta side dish, I have no sampled anything else from their menu. I really didn’t care for the marinara sauce, but that doesn’t mean it’s not good because I am really picky about sauce. I think we have taken our last trip to the Royal Inn for awhile. In time, I think we will give it another try, but as for now, we are both extremely turned off from it.

Very pleased with our stay. Pet friendly. Breakfast was ok but better than nothing. :)

Came here with some friends for the crab legs but as always I got a burger. The food was fantastic and the service was great. The atmosphere was comfortable and very inviting. I look forward to my next trip.

Royal Hotel in Ridgway PA. The rooms are clean, the staff is accommodating. They quickly gave us a refrigerator and a wifi booster when we expressed concern. The parking lot is huge, we were able to park our small trailer for a day, without issues. There is a family style restaurant in the hotel. It looks like there’s a lot of oil field company’s that use this place. It’s conveniently located minutes from downtown Ridgway. I recommend these accommodations.

My boyfriend and i stayed here on our way up to Niagara Falls. We arrived very late at night, but getting in was no problem. The room was very basic(furnishings looked like they dated back to the 70s), but everything was clean and well taken care of. The room was cozy and we had a great night’s rest. In the morning check out was a breeze and they had a layout of free pastries and juice that we enjoyed. The place was simple, but enjoyable and overall a good value. I wish we could have stayed around to check out the tavern.

My boyfriend and I got snowed in here on our way back from Christmas vacation. The hotel is definitely no-frills, so don’t expect down comforters, a Whirlpool bath or modern décor. The price for the room was fair and after a white-knuckle drive through 3 feet of snow we were ecstatic to check in and relax. The restaurant was nice enough to stay open a bit late for us, and the food was very good if a bit pricey. We both had the blue cheese burger and it was pretty damned good. Huge homemade patties, juicy and cooked perfectly. The staff is really where the Royal Inn shines. Following dinner we retired to the small lounge and enjoyed some beers. The staff was very welcoming and chatty, making an otherwise stressful day end on a high note. We pass this place every time we head home to visit my parents and we had such a good experience we plan to drop in next time we’re by.

Great atmosphere, great service, great food… a bit pricey… but worth it on occasion.
