So I have been eating at tomo for years now. I always go in before work and order the same thing. I have never had a bad experience. However, today I thought one of my sushi rolls tasted funny. I made my server aware and he said«honestly there’s nothing we can do». So I asked to speak with the manager and she came over and told me she would take the one sushi roll off my check. That’s fine. Then I go to pay my bill and notice there is an error. I made my server aware and he rolled his eyes, printed a new copy, and slapped it down in front of me. I have never had a sever so rude and unprofessional in MYLIFE. So I pay my bill and say have a good one and he replied with«yep». So at this point I turn around and told him that his customer service skills were piss poor and he responded with«you’re a crazy bitch. don’t come back»(even though I’m a grown woman and can go wherever I please). I have never been so angry that I feared I might put my hands on someone in public but today I came very close. So, with that being said, I will never EVER come back. Nor will I EVER recommend this restaurant to anyone. Tomo, you should be embarrassed.

My husband and I love sushi, but after coming here I may be taking a break. Walking in there was an immediate weird odor to the establishment that my nose could not seem to get past. The atmosphere is dark and dingy giving it a very unclean feeling. Our food took forever to get to the table and when it did the pieces were so small it hardly seemed worth the wait. We got 4 different rolls, none of which tasted fresh or had a good combination of flavors. We had to ask specifically for chopsticks and dishes for our soy sauce as well as smaller plates for our food. I definitely do not recommend coming here. If you want good sushi go to Miwas or Sushi Hana in Pooler.

Tomo is the worst restaurant in Rincon, and maybe the entire Savannah area. The menu is NOT genuine Japanese, but a poor attempt at it. EVERYTHING is either Sushi or Teriyaki. The chicken is so dry that it crumbles to dust in your mouth. Tomo would be a poor quality restaurant, even if it were straight take out; but they charge real entrée prices. GOSOMEWHEREELSE.

Food tasted as if I went to a Japanese steakhouse just without the show. Loved the clear mushroom soup and sweet tea. Also if you love the white sauce they give you a big bottle to use with your meal.

This locally owned and run spot, gives my family a really nice experience. The sushi is way to go there, but the grill options work good for my kids. The sushi is always fresh and they can create unique rolls based on your likes. It’s fun to sit at the bar and chat with the owner. Just a great place to bring the family, and will always recommend. I’ve found its best to try ti get there slightly early or later then the rush, as there’s 1 sushi chef, and will be busy at the peak periods. Enjoy!

Ordered take out sushi lunch. New in town and my first time there. The sushi was acceptable for the price, not the best I have had nor the worst. My problem was that when I walked in to get my food, the place smelled heavily of deep fryer grease. It was so heavy in the air that it stuck to my clothes and after being in there for less than 5 minutes I smelled like I was a fry cook on lunch duty. If it were not for this I would have tried them again. Its an older place, could use a facelift but looked clean. But that grease smell was awful!

Smells really fishy and as if something burned, but food was tasty. Wish that I wasn’t in a suit, that my eyes weren’t burning and that I had tried the sushi. Décor could definitly be better… even rustic can look nice, but this place looks very dingy. It was not a busy day so I would’ve thought the owner or manager would’ve stopped by our table to at least say hello. Maybe it’s an off day so I’ll try this place again.

The food was fairly decent and not too expensive. The server wasn’t the most eloquent one I’ve ever had, but not rude either. This restaurant isn’t necessarily the most aesthetically pleasing one I’ve been to, but if you’re looking for a quick bite to eat at a good price, it’s a pretty good place to visit. Overall, the food was good and the edamame was delicious and hot(unlike some places that serve it cold for some unknown reason). So, feel free to give it a try.
