Today marked my cats third visit to this office. All 3 times have been GREAT! Like most pet owners, I tend to worry. He and his staff are kind, caring, and thorough. He’ll find the problem while keeping costs to a minimum. There are not many businesses I feel confident in sending my friends and family to, but this office is one. I highly recommend Dr Clarke. He’ll be my vet for life!

He was cheaper than VCA. That’s the only thing good I can say. Maybe it was just me, or maybe the staff was having a bad day. All I know is, the vet tech(I think her name was Kitty or something) was extremely rude, and condescending. We are dog breeders and have always vaccinated our dogs ourselves against parvo/distemper. We’ve never had a sick dog in 20 years. But anyway, I decided I’d get the last vaccine in the sequence from a vet. First, I simply asked the vet tech if the fecal check was included in the price of the vaccine, because these pups had already had a fecal exam less than a month ago. She practically yelled back in a very judgmental, pretentious tone«the doctor HAS to examine your dog to give a vaccine.» Okay honey, that’s not what I asked. But whatever… I let it go. Then I was just trying to loosen the tension after she asked how many vaccines they had received. I said two. Both given at home. Just trying to make conversation, I said«you know, in 20 years I’ve not had one dog get parvo.» She again yells back in her tone«well the doctor sure has seen plenty of parvo!» Alright then lady. I’m here to get vaccines from your godly doctor. When the man himself steps in the room he promptly tells me that my dog has parasites. He says these parasites won’t hurt, in fact they are beneficial to the immune system. But he insists we treat them.(Add an extra $ 20). Then he says my dogs are neglected because one of them had a few fleas. We just stopped using comfortis this month, as we thought the fleas were just about done for the season. When I got home I gave the dog in question a flea bath and 3 fleas came off. I don’t call that an infestation. He then tried to sell me flea pills. I politely said I was actually looking for more natural alternatives. He said very pretentiously, «Don’t you think that if those things worked that I, being a VET after all would KNOW about them?» Well sorry Dr. Clarke, you don’t know everything. Paula was helpful and friendly. The Dr and vet techs were rude, pushy, judgmental, self righteous and down right mean. Sorry, but I won’t be back. I’ll gladly pay 2 times what they charge and go to the local VCA.
