Lookout Mtn. / Chattanooga South KOA

This place is NO longer a KOA & the prior owners kept out deposit (separate issue). The staff was nice but I honestly do not think the 2 front desk clerks have any business sense. They offered me a $ 20 rate because of the issue with me deposit but then tried to charge me $ 39 when I got here. I told the guy that Shelley said $ 20 & he looked at me like I had 2 heads & had to call Shelley to know how to handle. The campground is next to the highway & u can see & hear the cars. The sites are so small the some of the other rigs awnings are overlapping each other. I would not recommend staying here.

I would leave a negative star if it were possible. Big guy in charge refused to fill my propane because it was raining. Avoid this place at all cost. Go a little north to Chattanooga or further south to Dalton.

Rude female employees and way over priced; $ 32 for a gravel pit? I was duped into giving my credit card number to an employee over the phone when calling to make a reservation for the weekend. She told me they only had a few tent spots left yet when we got there we were the only people on the grounds except for the RVs. I was also told that this particular site was very close to Ruby Falls which was the whole reason we were on our trip. If a 30 minute drive is close I guess she didn’t lie, however she made it seem like they were right around the corner. We also had to build our own fire-​pit as there was just a pile of rocks next to our gravel.
I will never stay at a KOA again.

We pulled into this KOA with our RV and 24ft enclosed trailer. We had blown two trailer tires and called a road side service that was advertised in their handout to change tires and rims. Then the owner of the KOA drove over in his golf cart and started yelling at us and the service technician (who was very professional and in an immaculate white van!). It is apparent that this guy lives to ride around on his golf cart and yell at people. Avoid this place like the plague, it is not the usual friendly KOA campground.
