Worth turning off the highway and bypassing the fast food junk. Great green apple sandwich and chicken soup. The atmosphere is sparse but the food is good, fresh and tasty. Plus Ringold is a cute little town.

Wonderful small town sandwich shop! We have eaten here numerous times and have never been disappointed! The only problem is selection, there are sooo many! You’ve got to eat here several times to really get to know«your» sandwich, but that’s okay because all of them are awesome!

We stopped here on the way up to TN from Orlando, FL. We drove for miles on I-75 on a Saturday looking for a vegetarian friendly place that was open. Even though it wasn’t right off the highway, the menu of The Green Apple drew us in. The menu has something for everyone, the service is amazing, and the food is great. We tried 3 sandwiches: the asparagus, the bruschetta and the portobello. All were great but I’d try the asparagus first. The honey key lime sauce is amazing. If you live in this area, go and go often. I’m jealous of you because we might have Disney World but you have The Green Apple.

I was so hopeful this cute new sandwich shop I would have a good chicken salad sandwich. Eh. I was very underwhelmed. All I could taste was onion. The chicken was real and white meat which is a plus. The croissant was lovely. I just tasted it for several hours after I ate it. It reminded me of a trip my ex hubby and I took down to the Florida keys and I made chick salad sandwiches for the ride… We laughingly named them onion sandwiches. Oops. Good times. Thanks for the laugh today. I will still try this place again. The prices and portions were very good.

I love when a new, non chain, restaurant opens in a small town! You’ve got to support your local businesses, so we checked it out today after driving by and seeing the eye catching sign. It’s right beside the old ringgold staple, the sun shop. It’s very convenient to downtown Ringgold, so you can stop in after school, or for your lunch at a local office downtown. But, let’s get to the important part– The food. You need to try this place! Preferably multiple times because they have so many unique sandwiches and interesting ingredient combinations that I’ve never seen before. We decided to play it safe and order the old stand bys, because if they can do that well, they can do anything. I got the pastrami melt, and it was amazing! Nothing better than a hot pastrami. You could tell all of the ingredients were fresh. My lunch companion got the Green Apple Club. It came on a delicious marble rye, with a cilantro mayonnaise and tomatoes that tasted fresh off the vine. Every ingredient was made with love. You can tell the owner really loves what he’s doing. I hope that this restaurant will be here to stay! I know I will definitely be back!
