I’ve been to a lot of dentists over the years. Dr. Richarson and his staff are the very best. He is also past chairman of the Sacramento El Dorado Dental Society’s Quality Control Committee. Their job was to review the work of dentists whose patients have complained and correct any errors at no cost to the patient. Dr. Richardson has a strong social conscience. He is a Georgetown School of Dentristy graduate who could practice anywhere he wanted, but chose one of the poorest areas of the state. If his staff would let him, he wouldn’t charge for his services at all. He and his staff are the best.

We came to Dr. Richardson after our previous dentist retired(and we then had a horrific experience at Western Dental). The office staff is always pleasant and I’ve never had to wait more than 5 minutes once I arrive. Doctor Richardson first impressed me with his ability to give novocaine shots that I could hardly feel. I can say he is the most honest dentist I have ever met. If a tooth may or may not present a problem or worsen, he will put it down to be ‘watched’ and we deal with it when we need to. This is the exact opposite of our experience with Western, where frankly they invented problems where there were none. Our dental insurance is spotty so they arrange visits when our coverage is in place, and they have helped us with emergency dental issues more than once. Dr. Richardson and his entire staff are extremely well qualified and perform excellent dental care. I can recommend this dental office without reservation.

Dr. Richardson is the old school type of dentist who is practicing for the purpose to truly help people. His prices are so very reasonable which is very important to me as we have no dental insurance. He does not try to sell you unneeded services which so many of todays dentists are doing. He is not a high pressure salesmen as our last dentist was. My kids enjoy going to see him. He just removed 2 teeth for my son and charged us 20% of what the oral surgeon was going to charge($ 350 as opposed to $ 2500.) If you are in need of a great dentist with old fashion values and a wonderful office staff, give him a call. I guarantee you will be HAPPY!!!:)))

It’s been awhile since I’ve been here but my experience was good enough to make me want to write a review. A few years ago my top and bottom wisdom teeth on the right side of my mouth went bad and even though I brush 2 to 3 times a day, decided they just didn’t want to stay whole anymore and fell apart. Obviously this wasn’t comfortable. I had to change my eating habits from a righty chewer to a lefty chewer. Occasionally(mostly when I had been drinking) I would slip and chew on the right side and the pain was something I can’t describe without using foul words that would make even Andrew Dice Clay uncomfortable. Needless to say I decided that it was time to go to the dentist. I know nothing of what dentists to go to so I did what any guy who doesn’t know would do. I checked to see if I knew any dentists. I didn’t, so I found the next best thing, the father of a friend happens to be a dentist so I set an appointment. I walked in and was greeted warmly. I waited for about 10 minutes and was asked to sit down in the back where the normal checkup routine was done and they did some x-rays. After the x-rays I met the Dr. We exchanged our plesantries and he told me that my teeth needed to go. They were weak teeth and the top of the bottom right molar was almost nothing left but nerves. He told me this was common with some people as some teeth just go bad no matter what you do to save them(he was probably being nice, but it worked.) He also said that this particular tooth might require an oral surgeon but he was willing to take a go at it if I was. Now I’m not the toughest man but it takes a bit of pain to bother me and i wanted it fixed now so I said go for it. 25 or so minutes later the teeth were gone, all shards removed and I was on my way out the door with a nice prescription for vicodin and the hope that within the next few days I could once again eat tacos(i ended up eating tacos that night, but that’s a review for another time.) To make a long story short(too late) I enjoyed my experience here and will definately go back to visit Dr. Richardson(once i get dental insurance again, that is.)
