Herger Gas

One word… Ruuuuuuuun! A poorly dressed rude Herger Gas representative showed up on my door step one morning demanding $ 200 or he was going to shut off my gas… In january! I asked him to give some time to verify who he was as I did not know I was on propane because I had just moved in. It turns out my land lord specifically asked them not fill the tank because we were moving so soon (short term lease), but they blew off his request and filled it anyway. Despite my plea he got really pushy and raised his voice. I asked him where was his ID and logo on his clothing. He could only show me an old dirty Herger hat. I also explained that I was late for an appointment and that I would call them later. He gave me a few blank work orders not even a bill and said he was turning off my gas as I left. Shortly there after I called the receptionist who said sorry «No one told us». I verified that they did know (my land lord) but failed to record my land lords request. I build custom homes in placer county, and I will never use nor recommend Herger Gas. They are rude, money hungry, and play dumb to hustle your money from you. I know you can get professional & polite service elsewhere. #Propane service fail!

I wouldn’t even give them one star, but to post I need to. I have been with them for about ten years. I opened the account in my name but someone put it in my now ex husband’s name. The woman who answers the phone Kristin or something close to that. Has always been rude to me. I always pay my bill. When I asked for the bill to be put in my name she told me that it would be paid on delivery. In a very hostile way. I have been responsible for this bill since I open the account. She is the most unprofessional personal I have ever encounter. I would never recommend this company because of her

I go through plenty of propane and Herger Gas has never once allowed my take to go to empty. Also, the new management contacted me directly to make certain that I was satisfied with the service… and I am. I appreciate the personal touch they have added to their business.

Up until last month, We had always had great customer service with this company. we are signed up on a monthly service with them that they send a guy out to check the tank to make sure we are not low and if we are they send a guy out to fill us back up. Last month we went dry. I called upset and they sent a delivery guy out to fill us up until they could send the regular truck out to fill us back up to full. As the service guy comes out we are trying to brain storm as to what happened. I was then told its because we didnt pay our bill. Upset I called back, and explained that I was just told by their service guy its because we didnt pay our bill. She apologized and said she would make sure he was told that was not the isssue. That they had a new person working for them and that somehow the ball was dropped on our service. She told us it would never happen again. Well here we are again a month later and out its Saturday and I was told by the service guy again its because we did not pay our bill. I am livid.
We are renting this house for now almost two years. We pay our bills. When we moved here we were told that this program was great because they send a service guy out from time to time to make sure we dont run out. This is now twice that we have run dry and twice I have had this service guy hint that its because we dont pay our bill. Not acceptable at all. I would be careful when choosing this service right now. we are weighing our options on going with another service company as of now. Its one thing to have mistakes happen but in the middle of winter on a weekend is not how you want to start your day.

We LOVE these guys. Not only did they do a complimentary gas line check from our tank to our gas appliances on their first visit, they also came on Christmas Eve because we let our tank get too low!
Their sunday answering service is very reliable, their employees are very nice and polite and their propane rates are the best.
We would never call anyone else for our gas needs.
