The first real bagel I’ve had since moving here from Brooklyn! Finally a bagel that doesn’t taste like one of those Thomas’s prepackaged deals. Good selection of bagels and spreads, they even have lox One star off because the coffee was terrible and my bagel was pretty light on the cream cheese.

OK and OK! I am in RIORANCHO and craving a great BASICBAGEL! No «green chili», No «veggies» — just a GOOD(great if possible) BASICBAGEL. I was at SMITH’S GROCERY and looking at their bagels … they looked great! I was trying to decide when I remembered that not far away was a store that actually SOLDBAGELS; so, off I went — just a short walk away. I DID notice that ‘credit cards’ were a ‘no-no’ so checked my on hand CASH … I was OK! I told the young lady at the counter that I was«short a few teeth»(as in ALL of them were are supposedly given) and she suggested what I feel is the«SOFTESTBAGEL I HAVEEVERCONSUMED»! Yes — it was a BASICBAGEL — just like I wanted! WARM — SOSOFT — and the«schemers» I was offered blew me away! I ordered TWO and before I left I ordered a DOZENMORE; a WISE choice! I see some«reviews» about the staff being ‘grumpy’, however I did NOT experience anything even close to ‘grumpy’! I was helped and suggestions were made AND I LEFT with a full gut and tastes still hanging in my mouth! NEGATIVEREVIEWS are a CROCK! TRYTHEM… YOUWON’T BEDISAPPOINTEDATALL! «ROD F.» CLAIMSTHIS: «I’ve lived in Rio Rancho for many years, but never went here. I had a bagel sandwich with Pastrami, and it was delicious. I also got iced tea in a Styrofoam cup, which was good I thought, until later. I took the tea with me when I went home, drinking most of it later. Much later, after the ice melted, I discovered that there was a small piece of rag in the Styrofoam cup. I’m not at all impressed.» I DON’T BELIEVE A WORD! NOTONEWORD! I would guess ‘ROD’ was looking for some OBAMA-LIKE«FREESTUFF»! That«rag in my coffee» sounds SOFISHY I refuse to place ANY belief in it at all; NONE! «Senile Old Man Donnie»

Holy shmow! How on earth is this just my first time coming here?! The green chile bagels are just amazing – especially as a bagel sandwich, which my husband had. My daughter annihilated a blueberry bagel with neon purple/blue cream cheese. They reeeaaallly load on the cream cheese(which I love), but bear that in mind if you’re not a huge fan of cream cheese overload. My daughter loved her bagel. She really wore half and ate half, but it was totally worth it for the photos I snapped! The prices are very reasonable and I’m looking forward to trying the green chile stew. For a buttered, toasted bagel and stew it’s only about $ 3. That’s a steal! This will definitely be a regular haunt for us.

We stop in here every time we are in town. I forgot until we got inside that you don’t take credit cards and then as we were going to go find an atm I saw you had installed one! There was a long line as it was a holiday weekend but you guys rolled them out, fast friendly service. Great food. Boars Head meats and cheeses! Love it Just want a soda fountain. See you next trip.

Great food and great service! This is easily one our favorite weekend breakfast destinations. The everything bagel with cream cheese is the best around. No need to go anywhere else for a great bagel at a fantastic price!

I and my ADHD walked into this bagel place with no cash and paid no mind to the large sign on the front door that stated credit cards were not accepted. I ordered, received my order, then tried to pay… then was told no cards. Ugh. When I informed the girl I had no cash… she graciously pushed my order towards me and stated«just come back sometime.» Not an eye roll or a pause in her demeanor… just gave me my order for free. Great service! I took cash back right away and have been there 3 times since. Great, authentic bagels and a wonderful variety of smears! Thanks, Vicki!

The bagels are ok. What was really frustrating is that they do not accept credit cards. I guess this would be fine if you are a regular there, but to have to wait in line, have my ordered filled, and then get to the register to find the only sign in the place, stating that they do not accept credit cards is aggravating. Cash and check only. I understand that a business doesn’t want to pay the fees associated with CC transactions, but this business is giving bad customer service by not giving the option. On top of all that, the girl waiting on me was very rude to me while filling my order as well not taking my credit card at the register. Get with the times people!!! Checks are a thing of the past!!! Post large signs on the front door indicating that you don’t take cards, so people can get cash before hand and not have their time wasted.

Delicious bagels. Cash or check only. Bad coffee(it’s basically hot water, no flavor). I had the lox, which was tasty, although they didn’t have capers. She had a plain bagel with green olive cream cheese on half and chive cream cheese on the other. The chive cream cheese was very good. It’s not at all expensive and if it weren’t in RR, I’d buy bagels there all the time.

The only place to get a bagel in Burque! Yes I’m a bagel snob. My dad grew up in Brooklyn, growing up we only could find Lenders for our Sunday breakfasts. Not so tasty. My hubby is a die hard New Yorker. He didn’t believe there were bagels west of New Jersey. He was wrong. Dad drives across town and orders ahead. Girls that work the counter a nice. They know the regulars. Bagels are all that you want. Crispy chewy heaven. They have all the usual flavors, plain, sesame, everything, green chili and also the New Mexico, more than a dozen flavors. Also they have bialys. This is the real deal. Go eat.

Awwwwwww, suki — Bagels just don’t get any better than this. I didn’t think it was possible, here on the west side… but alas — it is. Faded sign on the front, next to a Smith’s grocery store — yumyumyumyumyumyumyumyum Boiled bagels. Super fresh. CHEAP. ¼ lb custom cream cheeses. Baker’s dozen on a half-dozen. 6 bagels + 3 creams $ 10!!! Oh and… CASHONLYNOCREDIT :)

If you want a quick, cheap breakfast make this one of your stops. Bagels made fresh, good coffee and ok service. When I lived in the area this was a top 5 spot for Breakfast. On weekends this place can get crowded so be prepared to wait in line.. .. . but worth the wait.
