Love this place!!! Some real mexi-cali food. Good prices, great food. Try the carne asada fries, they are amazing! The beef tacos are some of the best in town.

The food is pretty good. Usually consistent. Drive thru is too slow. Menudo on a scale 1 – 10 is about a 4. Tortillas were hard. Bread over greasy. Carne Asada hit or miss. I guess depends who’s cooking. Usually it’s fresh and tasty. Could be chopped smaller tho. They need to change oil in fryer more often.

CARNITASTOSTADAS. Fantastic. Boyfriend had what I think was chicharones burrito and it was massive. He couldn’t finish it. Happy tummy is happening!

Love their chicken enchiladas with rice and beans. It’s the closest thing to Mexican food in New Mexico.

Fantastic carne asada fries! Carne asada fries might be my most sought-after food on Unilocal.I’ve tried them all over the Southwest, and the carne asada fries here make my all-time top 5. The fries are good, the meat is good, the cheese is good, the guac & sour cream are good — but what puts it over the top is the portion, value, and ratio of ingredients. Consistent, too — same great portion every time(at least between 11am &2pm when I’d always go). Overall, this is the best Filiberto’s or Filiberto’s knock off I’ve come across in many years of traveling the Southwest. When it comes to carne asada fries, usually the further«southwest» in the Southwest gets you better stuff. And ABQ/Rio Rancho is not a Mexican fast food hotspot like other cities with Filiberto’s, so that makes this place stand out even more. They also have«cowboy fries» — built around tons of chopped pollo atop the fries. The price & generous portion is the same for these(they are about $ 8.15 with tax). These were the best cowboy fries I’ve had from the handful of Filiberto’s I’ve been to that do them. As far as the rest of the offerings, I’ve tried their burritos and quesadillas — I was very satisfied with both. And I think the smoky salsa verde(there are three verde-ish salsas) is the best at the salsa bar.

I’m from southern california and the carne asada burritos they have are not what it suppost to taste like and one of the cashiers was really rude

The food is amazing. If you want good New Mexican food come here. This is the first time I had eaten here and I love it. The carne Assad fries are perfect. This is what New Mexican food is all about. Prices are a bit high I will give it that but so worth the portion of the food. I will be returning

I came here after searching for tacos near my location and went with the one with the higher Unilocal rating. I was disappointed. I ordered the chorizo burrito and a fish taco. I expected the taco to come dressed with cilantro and onion… but instead it came with lettuce(wilted), tomatoes and tartar sauce. It tasted so… Americanized. As for the burrito, it was gigantic. And was filled only with egg and chorizo. I thought it would have something more to it… but that was just about it. It unfortunately made me dream for my favorite taco place in Louisville, and made me wish I had gone to Qdoba or Taco Bell instead.

After just moving here from California we were missing authentic Mexican food. We tried several spots, including Frédéricos(may not be spelled correctly, but after being unimpressed with their cold food and grisly asada I don’t care), but this place blows any other spot out of the water. Asada done right!

This place is fast food Mexican… not New Mexican. Great hangover or just plain late night munchies! Don’t expect too much and you will enjoy a decent mexican fast food option.

Tacos are pretty big. I had ordered the Lengua and Carne asada. Great flavor, only downfall was the salsa Verde & roja. Not much flavor or spice and watered down. Other than that I’ll eat there again, the tacos were great! I’ll just being my own salsa next time

So far i like everything I’ve ate here but there is a lot more i still need to try. The food is made quick, reasonably priced, and tastes really good. The salsa bar is a nice touch. Probably the Mexican(fast food) around.

This is only one of a few Mexican food places in Rio Rancho and even though I’ve only tried it once, I haven’t wanted to go back. It’s not bad, just not great.

This place is soooo good, authentic, and inexpensive. I had the 5 mini-tacos yesterday and tonight had a machaca burrito. Both excellent. I can’t wait to try something new tomorrow before I have to leave for home.

The good: It definitely has the Mexican food and look to it, instead of the restaurants that claim to be Mexican but lean more to New Mexican(huge difference between the two). Daily specials that are cheap. The bad: they have a poster of different burritos they have hiding behind the salsa bar, if it were in sight i would have ordered something different because there is no explanations on the menu of what the different items include. It’s pricy for what you get, including quality. The ugly: there were so many flies everywhere, dead and alive! It’s so cluttered that it doesn’t feel or look welcoming or clean. I would not recommend or go out of my way for it again, however if it were my only option for food i would not be completely put off on the idea of eating there, sort of a last resort kind of place.

When the store first opened it was very good, a definite competition to Fediricoes right down the road. But… over the past few months, the quality of the food has rocketed downhill. I went in about 2 months ago at around 5PM and ordered a fish burrito, my usual. Of course I went through the drive-thru and when I took my first bite I go a mouth full of rice, lettuce, and fish. Instead of a fish burrito, I got mixed burrito that resembled NOTHING on the actual menu. So… I didn’t go back for about a month thinking they may have hired a new cook and I needed to give them time to adjust. I go back to the drive-thru at around dinner time again, and they tell me the fish isn’t ready… it wasn’t prepared. WHAT? It is dinner time and you don’t have the fish prepared? When where you going to do it, after closing??? So… I go by yesterday and ordered my wife a Shrimp Quesadilla… one of her favorites. Now, let me start by saying a shrimp quesadilla costs like $ 8. so you are expecting it to be GOOD right? Wrong. The quesadilla itself was fine I guess… a little undercooked and the cheese was low-quality… but whatever. You order it for the shrimp and the flavoring of that. Well, when we opened the quesadilla up to put in some guacamole and sour cream, we found what could only e described as midget shrimps. To call them small would be an insult to small shrimp. I think these were the poops from the normal size shrimp, and then the cook may have even cut them in half after that!!! And to top it all off… we counted about 10 of these midget shrimps in the whole quesadilla!!! For $ 8, I want some normal sized shrimp, filleted in half and spread out throughout the quesadilla… not a childs handfull of dime-sized shrimps. I don’t know what happened that has made them go downhill the past few months, but I am done with them. The prices are rising there, the quality of the food is getting lower and lower, and the management running it is either blind, or the problem.

Super delicious! The numbered plate options are very generously portioned. The tortilla was so tasty. Normally when I eat burritos I toss the leftover tortilla. Not in this case, the tortilla was so good I kept eating. I highly recommend eating here. I wish I lived nearby so I could go back again. Fast, reasonably priced, and friendly.

Still consistent even after all these years(and I mean what I experienced when living in Phoenix back in ’98). If you want the real enchilada this is the place. If you don’t like it then it’s not Filliberto’s, it’s the fact you don’t like real Sonoran-style Mexican food. The lengua tacos are excellent as well as the Carne Asada. ‘Real’ chorizo with eggs, spicy and a mess to eat if you never had it like at home. Don’t forget to wash it down with the Tamarindo, Jamaica or a Horchata! Help yourself to the salsa bar with three types of salsas, fresh jalapenos, pickled mexi-mix and chips.

It’s hard to find Mexican food in Albuquerque(Mexican NOT New Mexican)! This place does it right! Best(and possibly the only place I’ve found so far) Langua tacos in Albuquerque! Breakfast burritos as big as a toddler’s head! Chorizo con eggs is grease dripping delicious! It’s like I’m sitting at my friend’s house growing up and his mom is cooking in the back. They are literally a Mom & Pop place cooking family recipes and living the American dream! Support them and enjoy a great low cost Mexican meal and have a sip of the crazy good horchata! ;) Life is south of the border good, while living north of the border!
