Their malts are too thick and the straws roo small. And all t h e malt is in the bottom. I have complained for 5 years and they just dont give a crap. They are supose to put a little milk in it to thin it. When they don’t its just icream and malt. They put the mal th in first the icream. When they mix it it doesn’t mix because it is too thick. After a half hour still couldn’t zuck it up through thd straw. F them f ing management and district supervisors. Rio ranch sonic s suck. Actuallh its all of them, they all do it.

We come here because it’s the closest one to our house. We usually just get the half-price drinks, but when we are feeling brave we order food. Here’s how THAT typically goes: Sonic: Can I take your order? Me: Yes, we would like 2 large diet Cokes, 2 extra-long cheese coneys with mustard and onions, 1 order of onion rings, 1 order of tater tots and lots of ketchup. Sonic: You want ketchup on the coneys? Me: No, we just want lots of ketchup for the tots and onion rings. After a few minutes we get our order… NOKETCHUP and NOMUSTARDORONIONSONTHECONEYS. Every. Single. Time. Seriously, how does that happen?

Spent $ 38 on dinner at Sonic tonight. Ordered mozzarella sticks and asked for a mix of ranch and marinara — we got no sauce at all. No spoons, 2 napkins and no drink carrier. Uhhhhh, not impressed, Sonic. We had to heat up the mozzarella sticks too.

This location has horrid food. I would go to another location. The one on 528 is better. I would have to blame management for this location. It used to be the one place to get food next to the theater, but luckily, there a multiple options over there now. Mushy tater tots, bland fries, cold chicken and burgers missing ingredients come to mind when thinking of this place. The big drinks are a saving grace, but I am weirded out by the fact their ice does not melt. Seriously, their ice does not melt. It’s not normal. I was told once it’s because their cups are insulated, but that does not seem to explain why I had one of their drinks at work all day and 9 hours later, the ice was still solid. Newton’s laws of cooling and heating…

This location has the slowest service I have ever seen, no courtesy, they mess up orders and the straw the broke the camels back for me; I went at 8:01 to get half price shakes, I was told that I had to wait 15 more min, that is such crap the sign says after 8pm not after 815pm, they were busy and were just blowing me off. Well it worked, I will never go to your establishment again, great job!!!

Worst restaurant in the world! They do not even deserve a one star.

Seriously, I don’t understand why Sonic’s other ABQ locations only have 3 stars. When the new Sonic Drive-In opened just down the hill from my home, I stopped by to try a burger. No, they don’t make *gourmet* burgers here. It is a fast food restaurant in every sense of the word, but they make excellent burgers none the less. Definitely several notches above McDonald’s and a few notches about Carl’s Jr. THe fact they offer burgers on toast is awesome. Other pluses to their menu are the variety of breakfast food, slushies, limeades, and hey! – Tired of a burger? Try a hot dog instead! Sonic’s is definitely a higher end fast food institution, and a fantastic substitute for the lack of In-N-Out burger joints in New Mexico. This particular Sonic Drive In is brand spankin new with a huge row of parking spots available for car hop service. Alternately, if you don’t want car hop service, or the spots are all filled, you can get what you want via drive thru and park somewhere else. There is also limited indoor and outdoor seating if you prefer to eat at a table.
