Very good place for sushi and nice hot bowl of udon soup. We ordered sushi combo B and our waitress was great to let us substitute for a different roll.

Service was poor. I sat at the sushi bar and the guy, supposed sushi chef, just kept messing around with his phone. Maybe he was the owner’s nephew or something. He said he was trying to order his lunch but was absent most of the time. He tried to sell me on the most expensive sushi roll but I asked for a crunchy shrimp roll. He made it quickly and decently but then he disappeared into the kitchen again. I had one drink, sake. They never offered water. The greeter, young lady, was kind and professional. Avoid this place. It’s far too expensive for what you get. But this place needs a lesson in professionalism. Take a trip into Albuquerque and visit Pacific Paradise. You’ll feel better, both in the tummy and pocket book.

I have avoided eating sushi for decades. My wife finally talked me into it. I didn’t realize what I was missing. It was really good. My wife started with the sea weed salad, which she said was better than Japanese Kitchen. We ordered 3 rolls. Spicy tuna, tuna, and teriyaki chicken. I also ordered the thai wings. They were all really good. The service was quick and polite. We will definitely be going back and I highly recommend this place!

#58 Beef with broccoli was excellent! #10 The dumplings and sauce were amazing! I’m still working on getting used to how«spicy» the food in New Mexico is flavored, the green curry chicken was delicious just a bit to spicy for me. I thought many of the rolls looked good too and I’ll be trying a few in the near future! Enjoy!

This is an urgent plea to the owner of this location! Your staff is in extreme need of customer service retraining. I walked in to a relatively empty business was held over for seating and told to sit anywhere. The problem here was the tables were all filthy. She took my drink order(water) and went to the back. When she came back without my water and took my food order I gave it a minute and another and then 15. Then when my food arrives, I remind her about my water and she gets super aggravated with me. I won’t be back.

I had lunch at Taste of Thai, on the other side of sushi King restaurant. I will say right off that the serving person was fine, and attentive, etc. But the food… No need for me to go back there. I am from the bay area, and probably have been exposed to some of the best Asian food of all stripes, including a plethora of Thai restaurants. Here, I ordered the Thai lemongrass –coconut soup that is the signature of every Thai restaurant. It had a curious red-brown tint to it, which was offputting and it was very, very sweet. Yecch. Not normal! The chicken in it was largely gristly dark meat, and maybe it’s just my experience, but it’s usually breast meat that comes in the soup. I didn’t finish it. I also ordered the drunken noodles, which was off the lunch menu. This is a combination of the flat, wide rice noodles, sautéed with fresh basil, and accompanied by chunks of chicken and vegetables– in this case, well… I really don’t remember. I’m pretty sure there were carrots. There was also a lot of that same gristly, dark chicken meat that I just don’t like. There were sautéed jalapeño slices in there, giving it some spice. Usually, you cannot go wrong with panfried noodles; and truly, there was a good fresh basil taste to the noodles, but there was no other dimension to the flavor of that plateful of noodles. I couldn’t really see finishing it; although I decided I would take the noodles(not the chicken) home with me in a box for later, the fact is I left that bunch of sad noodles in the car overnight, and threw the box out the next morning. Lastly, a word about the price– neither item ordered was from the lunch menu, so I was dinged full price; still, You can usually count on Thai food to be among the least expensive food. But here I paid about nine dollars and something for that plate of drunken noodles which, I think the restaurant must’ve been drunk on when they set the price. The cup of soup was five dollars+. Altogether, more than sixteen bucks for food both forgettable and slightly icky. That’s almost Bay Area prices, without the quality!

Albacore roll is a touch spicy, good flavor. The Phillips roll was fantastic. Cashew beef was average and the pad Thai wasn’t that great. It was sweet, not my flavor. Had to ask 3 times to get lemon for my water so I felt the waiter was lacking. The best part of the meal was by far the Phillips roll and the Albacore roll.

When I lived in Lakewood, California sushi was the«food of the gods» in cerritos! i also took a run to second street in los angeles to «sushi palace»(it was a palace — literally). i worked for a japanese import-export company and the sweet ladies would entertain us at company gathering with authentic japanese sushi, sashimi and a multitude of «secret family recipes»! i grew to know the fabulous and the just«good»! when i found sushi king just down the road from my home in enchanted hills, nm i was certain it would be «grocery quality» japanese — so i was not expecting great food at all; i was so wrong! thankfully i was treated to a fine dining experience at sushi king — enchanted hills by my grandson! so lucky! i was in a tiny part of heaven! really! the menu you see on the interweb is not all they offer! if you have a favorite — ask the sushi chef or the waitress! i can almost guarantee they can offer you exactly what you remember from«home»! sushi! fresh! well made! delightfully plated! the whole«ball o’wax»! i say again, «i was in sushi-sashimi heaven»! the«sushi combo ‘a’ is a great place to start! a fine selection of the finest! then i moved on to the „chef’s special“ and was treated to tuna roll(tekka maki deluxe!), salmon roll, yellow tail, unagi, hamachi, tako, anago, ebi and several additional treats. expensive? well, honestly i was being „treated“ so i did not worry! i ordered — they kept it flowing until i was exhausted from stuffing my fat belly! bottom line: sushi king is indeed king in the rio rancho area! bar none they: shoot and score»! they even exceed the food at ichiban near corrales where the food is great but the service is horrible! sushi king has it all and i will be back very soon! well, as soon as my belly goes down from all the sushi /sashimi i consumed! thanks sushi king … you really are«king» in my book! *** PARDONTHEERRORSINCAPITALLETTERING! MY «CAPLOCK» was ON so I screwed up! THEREVIEWISSTILLVALID — it is my idiotic TYPING that is messed up! SORRY!

Had to cancel our order and walk out today after I saw the sushi chef putting food in his mouth and eating while he was behind the prep area, preparing sushi. DISGUSTING!!!

I like the summer sun roll. It is the only decent sushi in the area. The El Diablo is pretty good too. The waiter was courteous. It’s never very crowded there so you have plenty of privacy.

We did a large production crew order and the staff here could not have been nicer. They worked hard to get our order pulled together fast. Definitely made a good impression on us. The food was a-ok. We opted for curries, noodles, fried rice, teriyaki bowls, and such. Everything was flavorful and cooked to order. Could not be happier to have a happy and fed crew — thanks to Sushi King for making that happen.

I would give Sushi King Enchanted Hills a solid 2.5 stars for just an average experience. The service was PAINFULLY S… L…O…W, even though we were one of only two tables with patrons. The non-veg rolls are priced between $ 5-$ 15 and that would be acceptable for GOOD Sushi. Unfortunately, this was not GOOD Sushi. It was average Sushi. The rolls were loose and crumbled upon pick-up, and left me with a bit of funky tummy. :-/ Only because this is so close to my house, I’ll give the location another try. But this time, I think we’ll be trying the Taste of Thai side. Crossing my fingers for a better experience on that«side» of the house. I marked 3 stars(instead of 2) simply for their convenient location — among loads and loads of fast food; and their beautiful view of the mountains.

I love sushi but at the same time I am very picky. Sushi King has a large selection of vegetarian sushi. I just tried their avocado roll and the New Mexico Green Chile roll. Both were amazing. Very well presented on the plate, rolled properly so they don’t open. Fresh and moist ingredients. Just a delight. The staff is friendly too so this is a big plus. The place is clean and pleasantly decorated.

This place is a must go for Bernalillo /North Rio Rancho. My chicken massaman curry was delicious. Also they where able to cook a normally hot dish to a one without any hot chili for my friend who doesn’t eat spicy foods. Very clean, very friendly staff.

While it sure is pretty inside and clean most definitely some of the most overpriced sushi I have ever ate an I’ve had sushi in Cali, NV, AZ, FL, HI, NYC etc. $ 15 for a specialty roll sucks when it’s not that special. The spicy tuna which was the last expensive had zero kick to it. Waiter seemed overwhelmed and there were only 3 tables seated. Miso soup was good and the salad had a peanutty dressing possibly because the restaurant houses a Thai restaurant too? Ok. Not sure if this was just a fluke. I might try it again to see how consistently bleh it is. Maybe because I’m a sucker or maybe because I love sushi I need to consume it on a regular basis. Hopefully my next experience will be better.
