excellect food and service! great presentation!

Hands down, one of the best sushi restaurant around the area. Good costumer service, and we’ve gotten appetizers on the house a couple times before. My favorite is their Salmon teriyaki from the bento box section. BBQ beef good, chicken Katsu good, Jacktone Roll BOMB, Masumi roll BOMB…
I recommend this place.

Masumi’s is quite a good place 2 experience some fine dining pampering!
My schedule was pretty tight today which made for a «quick meal in the truck» opportunity!
I had the take out Lobster sushi roll which was very delish, to say the least! It accompanied this afternoon’s meal with some other nutritious foods that I carry on board my highway tractor. This combination of Masumi food and my food made for a really extraordinary and tasty treat for lunch!
We truckers come prepared!

Love this place. It’s my go-​to sushi place. Great quality for the price you pay! Lots of options. Amazing sushi!

Excellent Yaki Ramen!!! Orange Chicken is very good as well. Been here countless times. Owners are great.

A disappointment. Osaka Sushi in Modesto, hands down the best in the valley.
If you know good nagiri, sashimi and rolls, you know this spot lags.

This place is great! I hadn’t been here in a few years but nothing has changed. The food is still amazing and the service is fantastic! Ordered 3 sushi rolls and they came out fairly quickly, which was great. Our server kept up on all of our drink refills and checked on us very frequently. The pricing was great especially for going at dinner time (6pm). Can’t wait to go back.

Love this place! We have been here a few times and have really enjoyed it! We came for lunch all the times we came. We like the Ripon Roll :)

If you are sitting in a booth you have good lighting. We were sat at the table Where there was no lighting directly above us making bit hard to read our menus: we need to take out our phone lights.
Noise level is normal except when their phone rings: super obnoxious.
Waiters/​waitresses are consistent in drink refills in the beginning until they serve you your meal. The order was taken fairly quickly and the food came at a decent time while we ate our salads and miso soups that came with some of our meals.
When my mom’s appetizer came, the lady was in a hurry and left in the middle of the table instead of placing in front of my mom when my mom said, «here!»
Food was delicious and fresh.

I’ve been looking for a Japanese restaurant that makes great and delicious ramen! I finally found it YAY!!! This is where my little daughter is going to have her birthday!

I travel all over the country and found this to be one of my favorite Japanese restaurants! Sushi was fabulously unique. The only problem was that the pieces were larger than one bite… If that is a problem. The staff was great and the restaurant was super clean!!!

It is just okay. Staff is polite. Not authentic Japanese food. I was looking for ramen and was quite disappointed. I will not go back.

At first when you walk in it seems like a nice restaurant. Menu is nice, service is good. Plating is nice. We ordered a roll and sashimi salad. I should’ve known when I saw the color and cut of the sashimi that I shouldn’t have eaten it. Not fresh at all! Came home with a very bad stomach ache. :(
When in Manteca area, I say stick to the Mexican food where you know it will be good. Or order only COOKED food on the menu! This Chinese-​ran Japanese restaurant definitely did not meet the standards.

The food was good and the service was not that bad. The place is clean and the the sushi was great. I got the ITT roll and it was amazing!!!
The food came out really fast. Probably cause there were only a few people but anyway the food was good. I think I would come back again.

Fantastic food. Haven had better sushi in the USA. The owners are awesome and treat you like friends frome the time you walk in the door til the time you leave. My favorite restaurant in Ripon.

I have eaten here a few times. The food is ok, but the sashimi not so fresh. I usually don’t liked cooked rolls but the fresh fish is not that great. The service is also very poor for both dine in and take out. Also if you take out add twenty minutes to the time they tell you because they say twenty five minutes and it takes 45 to get the order. Also of it’s take out I strongly recommend you check your order because I had the wrong order when I got home. I am truly surprised by all of the great reviews because I have had nothing but bad experiences at this place.

Masumi is one of the better Sushi Restaurants I’ve been to, anywhere. The location is what surprises me. Ripon is a very small town that straddles the 99 Freeway and is packed with really solid eateries.
Very clean and well appointed establishment with surprisingly nice restrooms. Staff were all friendly and helpful. Specials were posted outside the door giving you a chance to consider them before being confronted by their sizable menu. Décor is appropriately Japanese without screaming WE ARE SUSHI RESTAURANT! And here we go…
4 Top ordering:
1. Oysters on the Half Shell: fresh and lightly briny, just the way an Oyster should taste.
2. Ika Maruyaki: Love Squid (Ika) to death and their Maruyaki (Grilled) is very nice indeed.
3.Fried Ika: Calamari to most, it’s deep fried squid and this stuff is great. Two sauces complimented both of our squiddy dishes.
4. Godzilla Roll: GRs are about as far as I go when it comes to the modern fried sushi roll. They are still mostly traditional with a very light tempura fry and a bit of Sriracha sauce on top. They always vary Bar to Bar. Masumi’s is pretty good, not the best.
5.Hot Lips: Sort of a throw away. Jalapenos are a gamble in Sushi and I LOVE Jalapenos. This one didn’t do it for me.
6.Royal Prawns: My Mom ordered this dish and couldn’t be happier.
7.Golden Gate Roll: Dad ordered this and was confused when it arrived. Heck everyone was confused. A full salad completely hides this Roll. Surprisingly good, yet strange due to the jungle canopy.
8. Mixed Nigiri: Without going into individual detail it will suffice to say that the Unagi, Escolar, Saba, Hamachi, and Sake were all on point.
Good stuff. If you live nearby or are just driving through and need to get a raw fish fix, this is the place. They hit all my requirements for a good dining experience. Will return for sure.

Great little place in Ripon! Elegant, stylish, and very clean inside. The atmosphere is warm, the service friendly and efficient but not pushy. I ordered the Jack Tone roll with crab, shrimp, cream cheese and avocado. It was a little rich for me and I couldn’t finish it all, but the flavors were delicious together. My daughter had the kids teriyaki salmon which came with rice, egg roll, and tempura shrimp. My husband got the beef ribs and orange chicken bento combination which included egg rolls, rice, miso soup and salad. My daughter and I also shared a cup of miso soup which was AMAZING! I could have had a whole meal of that alone! Prices were very reasonable and everyone was well satisfied. We will definitely be back!

I always recommend Masumi when I hear anyone in the valley looking for great sushi. My favorite roll is the Hawaiian roll I recommend everyone to get it. Even try it deep fried. It’s the best deep fried. I wish they had one in the Bay Area because it’s so amazing.

Ordered the steamed sole one of my favorite dishes besides the sushi:)). It is served in a light ginger broth, broccoli and steamed rice:
