Ridgewood Inn Motel

My fiancé and I recently attended a wedding in Ripon and choose to stay at this motel because of its low rates. We called a couple weeks ahead of time to make a reservation without a problem. Our room was ready when we arrived and we checked in quickly without a problem.
We had a pleasant surprise when we walked in the room — it was jungle-​themed! Some stuffed gorillas and giraffes hung from the ceiling, which was also decorated with fake vines. Zebra– and giraffe-​printed light switch covers were on the wall alongside wooden masks. The bedsheets [on our king-​sized bed] were green and decorated with jungle-​themed pillows. Even the bathroom had similar décor! The room also smelled of mint, which was lovely.
The bed was comfortable, the sheets and towels were clean, and we had everything we needed for a quick overnight stay. There were even some breakfast foods available in the morning (coffee, juices, bananas, assorted packaged food), which we weren’t expecting from a small motel.
The woman working behind the front desk was wonderfully nice and told us more about the themed rooms (sports, etc.). She also informed us of some events happening in town and gave us recommendations of places to try downtown. I am grateful for the nice experience we had here.
If we’re ever back up this way, we’re staying here again! :)
