Had Mike Steckler and company back to clean up and restore after a major slab leak caused by old, faulty plumbing. AND to repair the hallway, where the other plumbing guy accidentally put his foot through the ceiling! Everything is beautiful, good as new. Reasonable rates, excellent customer service, another home-​run by Steckler Construction. I, personally, wouldn’t call anyone else.

We used Steckler Construction for to remodel our kitchen and add new hardwood floors.
The old tile and backsplash were removed as well as cutting down a raised bar behind the sink. The results look fabulous, even installing one of those touch faucets. The kitchen took 2 full slabs of quartz and Mike replaced the backsplash with mosaic tile. From demo to completion the kitchen took only 4 days.
Mike’s crew removed the existing flooring of linoleum, tile and carpet before installing 1,200 sq. ft. of engineered hardwood. He also removed the old hearth and resurfaced the front of the fireplace. This was completed in 5 days, including all new baseboards and touchup painting.
We had the flooring started about a week after the Kitchen was complete. Mike was right on budget and completed both jobs in the estimated time frame.
I highly recommend Steckler Construction if you want timely quality work.

We used to have an incredibly outdated, hideous, non-​functional and embarrassing master bathroom. Now, our bathroom is beautiful and spacious thanks to Steckler Construction.
Steckler Construction earned 5 stars from us because the entire process was such a positive experience. With 2 small children at home and a hectic schedule, we were unsure what to expect with this potential disruption in our daily routine. Things in our home shifted slightly, but were made bearable because of the people representing Steckler Construction. Everyone was extremely courteous, clean, professional and committed to their work. With Steve’s exceptional plumbing, Shawn’s meticulous tile work and Mike’s attention to detail, we are absolutely amazed at the finished product and our expectations have been exceeded. Mike was involved in the entire process and communicated with us openly throughout each step. It is evident that the Steckler Construction team takes pride in their work and they enjoy what they do.

What a great find. Mike and his crew are excellent. They remodeled all four bathrooms and the kitchen in our fabluous 5 bedroom rose garden home in San Jose. We really appreciated that he stayed on top of the job from start to finish. The quality of the work was supurb. The pricing was very reasonable. And most of all Mike was easy to deal with, shared his design ideas, listened to us, and made sure that we were satisfied with the finished product. If you have a construction project, we highly recommend that you get Mike involved. He is a problem solver who offers efficient and practical solutions. The finished work is quite sensational. Mike is a Great General Contractor that does quality work I would recommend him to anybody looking for a honest reliable contractor!

If I could give no stars I would, so sadly I’m stuck giving Mike a one star.
Our neighbors had Mike do their kitchen and recommended him to us since we were looking to redo our kitchen as well.
Three weeks ago we got into contact with Mike to see if we would be able to get an estimate and to see if he would like to take this project on. He gave us his email so that we could send him our address. Once we sent him the address, he scheduled to meet with us last Saturday (¹⁰⁄₁₈).
That day came and went and he never showed nor called. We reached out to him and he let us know that we were wrong and that he was in Santa Barbara that weekend and the estimate was scheduled for tomorrow (¹⁰⁄₂₅).
Since then we hadn’t heard from him so we decided to email him to find out what time he would be here tomorrow. At around 9:15pm Mike finally responded and let us know that do to availability and location he would have to pass.
Are you serious!!!
Instead of letting us know from the beginning that he wouldn’t be able to accommodate us, he led us on and was very unclear, indecisive and unprofessional about how he handled the whole situation.
Be warned and don’t set anything in stone because Mike isn’t afraid to do you dirty and leave you high and dry.
SHAME ON YOU MIKE!

Mike and his crew just finished up a master bathroom remodel, and we could not have asked for a better experience. We love our bathroom, and appreciated the consultative approach to selecting the material we used.
He stayed within budget and ensured we were pleased with every step of the remodel project — from demo to completion. At the end of each day, the crew ensured they left my house (except the bathroom) in the same state of cleanliness as when they arrived each morning. They even went as far to ensure our walkway was hosed off to avoid additional dirt and debris coming in the house.
My eyesore is now gone, and there is a beautiful bathroom in its place. My only problem is that I don’t have a surplus of money so he can remodel more bathrooms and my kitchen! SOON! VERY SOON!
