Van Unen is a great propane supplier. We enjoy the many services they provide. Our old propane supplier provided one service and would not even consider filling a BBQ tank or a motorhome. I feel very fortunate to have this company as my supplier.

Van Unen Propane Will fill your tank at the peak of winter (even if you don’t need it and have asked them not to) then lock off your tank if you can’t immediately pay their $ 1000 bill. They showed up to my house today to collect $ 850 for a fill they did 60 days ago and wouldn’t take a $ 600 payment to avoid a lock off. Turned out, all of their gas was still in the tank unused from that last top off (so I didn’t even really need that fill in the middle of winter when prices were $.50/​gallon more than they are today). They said that they would be happy to take my $ 600 payment but they would still have to lock off the tank. That means they would have effectively prevented me from using gas that I paid for. No way! I told them to come get their tank off my property. They owe me now for the $ 70 annual tank lease I just paid them on.
My advice, take your business elsewhere, Van Unen couldn’t care less about their customers. After making a few calls to get a new tank elsewhere I found out I could get a new tank with the same amount of gas for less than half what they were trying to get from me. Bad prices + bad service= no customers.
