AMAZINGSANDWICHES! Old school Italian deli with some of the best subs and salads in Bergen County NJ. The workers here are very friendly and many have worked at Dante’s for years so you can always get good quality food. Go inside. Give them a try and you won’t be disappointed. Also their catering is on point. Sandwich and salad platters are so good. Great quality food.

Cute local deli on Kinderkamack Rd. The shop is so lively from its workers to its wide selection of Italian goods and grocery items in the back. I enjoyed browsing while waiting for the sandwiches to come out. Prices are around $ 4 – 7, which isn’t bad. Definitely one of my go-to’s!

This is my family’s go-to deli. Their cold cuts are delicious and always fresh, and their prices are reasonable! If you’re looking to order a sandwich or food — their Dante’s hero is basically an Italian hero… on steroids! This thing is massive and packed with deliciousness. Completely worth it. They also have really awesome chicken cutlets, red skin potato salad, pastas, and wings! Whenever the family comes over we get a plate of wings and everyone always asks where they’re from. Gotta be Dante’s!

Huge servings and a great value. The hot and cold sandwiches are both great. Many daily specials that are all always good. Friendly and courteous staff, even when it’s busy.

Really good spot for a nice Italian sandwich. Their generous with portions and prices are fair for any budget. My personal fav: the hot roast beef with mozzarella and gravy!

The sandwich and the value knocked my socks off. I got the Italian with everything on a 6″ wheat sub roll and it was great. Full of meat, not shy with the condiments and the fact that it was on a wheat roll made me feel a tad healthier about it all. When a deli offers a variety of breads and rolls, I swoon but that’s a personal preference. When the old man behind the counter told me I owed $ 5.75, my jaw dropped. I think the last time I paid that for a sandwich was over 5 years ago. Dantes is a gem without a doubt.

Ahhhhhhhhhhh! Where to start? This place may be a favorite«Shop Local» location, but you’ll feel like you went to Italy and came back with authentic goods. This is the real thing — no fugazi Italian stuff over here, just almost-too-good-to-be-true Italian staples! For all the non-cookers, but family team-players out there(ahem, me), their pre-made antipasti platters are a big hit around the holidays. The staff is always very helpful, either on the phone or in person(they walked my order to my car for me!).

I love Dante’s! I’ve been here several times for breakfast and lunch. For breakfast, i always get a bacon, egg and cheese(bacon well done) and they do it right. Sometimes, they run out of rolls so you might want to make sure you’re here early if you like your breakfast sandwich on a plain roll. Their coldcut sandwiches are huge! They are a bit pricey but you get a great amount of food for what you pay. I have tried a few of sandwiches from their menu but I really love the typical italian combo, perfect and VERY filling. They have a big list of specials almost everyday. They have fresh food made daily including pasta salad, potato salad, caprese salad, cold pasta, etc.

First off i dont get why anyone would complain about the price unless you are used to going to Subway… Sandwiches are very reasonable in price compared to any other deli i have been to. The guys behind the counter are all great and always talkative and very nice. I have been coming here every week for years now and i have never been disappointed, they do a great sub everytime. Joe, the owner, is an awesome guy

Just what I was looking for: a classic Italian deli that has everything! The amount of stuff in this store is overwhelming — from the fresh mozzarella, to the imported salami. This has become my new NY deli. Please don’t leave. bb

This appears to be a somewhat dingy little shop with Italian ingredients on the shelves, but the deli is great. It would be nice if they posted prices on things, like the homemade pastas in their freezer section. We picked up chicken parm and a pasta salad the other night for dinner, and it was all delicious. Prices seemed fair, and we look forward to trying more stuff in the future. I didn’t check out any of the bakery items, but it looked like they had a fantastic selection.

Put it this way, I do favors for a coworker at work just so they will bring me lunch from Dante’s! It’s all so delicious and every time it’s a perfect balance of meat, cheese, bread, and other toppings. Well done Dante’s!

This is an excellent Italian deli in River Edge. The mozzarella with the prosciutto and roasted pepper sandwich is outstanding if you are hungry and need a great lunch. They pile on the prosciutto!!! I also like to buy boxes of their frozen ravioli to keep in the freezer for those nights when you don’t feel like cooking.

Their sandwiches are delicious. 5 stars. But I’m going to give this place a 3 because they don’t have prices listed. My first visit– two italian subs totaled $ 19. Second visit– two italian subs totaled to $ 7. Be careful not to get overcharged here. They accept cash only but have an atm in the back.
