Brunswick Zone River Grove Bowl

A pretty good bowling alley.
Came here for the Peterson Classic, and thought WOW what an improvement over the AMF place last year, although i still miss the AMF Hoffman Estates as a comparison.
Bowling alley is well maintained and well lit. They kept it clean although the décor and chairs were pretty old. The bar was very small and lacked some of the variety our group expected, but the staff was friendly and attentive.

Oh nooooo worst bowling place ever. There’s nothing to enjoy. And it’s dirty. Also the lanes aren’t working. When i call the service button it’s not even working. Socks are everywhere on the floor. Seriously??? I thought it was one of the biggest bowling places. Sigh… Big disappointment

Worst bowling place… cheaters. .we went as 8 people family, they told us $ 10.95 each for 2 hours but they gave us only one hour saying that we got 2 lans!!!
What if I split the 8 people to 2 on each lane then how many minuets you will give us cheaters?

Don’t bowl at this place. I’ve been bowling here over 10 years. Plus I am a league secretary. You figure they would help out league bowlers. So I ask to clean off the slippery lane today which they should have done as prep work. Every week they have new workers and the worker experience is worse and worse they cater to the open bowlers rather than bowlers that have bowled in this league for over ten years. So today I get the well you got to wait to clean off the approach which should have been prep work. Nobody ever came at all. But I bet you hooked up the open bowlers. Im just so tired of this place. Had numerous run ins with them and I am a league secretary. They give 2 shits about anyone that devotes constant money to this place. And I know league officers from other leagues that are so tired of this place. Maybe when its shut down people will regret what they did. Was hoping AMF would regroup and analysis this analysis. I got 2 other closer Brunswick zones that I could bowl at. Shut this place down. Oh and they are promoting the now Peterson classic? Like they are a good establishment? They can’t even run a daily f*ing league. Wednesday, Friday I am here same b.s. Fire everyone please…
so USBC promotes beat the champs every year. Last year as league secretary I had to fill out paperwork. So this year my Friday night league gives me specifics on the beat the champs which we pay for as league members. But I go up to the counter questioning the process and get the I don’t know. I don’t think we are doing it. Yet you are taking and promoting the USBC tournament every year and you workers don’t know what’s going on. What a joke really. And this location manager is a district manager? I already had a run in with him for disrespectfull service and he didn’t do what he promised. Moving in to another location next year. Sad management is so lax for league bowlers.
