This place completely sucks. It’s just a lil hole in the wall with below average donuts, poor service, and is either opened late or not at all.

The donuts might be good but the owner is rude. I rarely buy donuts but have been in here twice in 2 years and both times it’s the same story day a dozen day old donuts on the shelf is all they have at 7:30am. «Sorry I got here late but I can make some cake donuts.» I really wanted glazed, so I say I’m not really in the market for cake donuts and the owners response is… bye! Both times treated rudely, so I won’t be back.

I’ve been going to Jessie’s since I was a small child, so I know how it works. I also know it’s incredibly worth it. –Bring cash. Small bills unless you’re buying a million donuts. Then you will get donuts of the like that you have never tasted before. I’ve been all over and never tasted a donut as good as Jessie’s.

Tried on a Wednesday– closed. Tried on Thursday– yay it is open. After reading the reviews, I was very polite,” yes sir, no sir”. Between that and the Babe’s t-shirt(Jessie likes Babes) we were in the inter– circle. That day and the next day Jessie made us cake donuts to order and they were crazy delicious! We had hot chocolate glazed chocolate and hot cinnamon and sugar coated cake donuts that day and the next. If you have time to sit down, this is a good donut, right out of the fryer so hot and fresh. I’m glad I went back! Pic is attached

Donuts are awesome at this place! I just wish they had a larger selection of more types of donuts. Jessie is quite a character. The first time I visited I remember walking in and into a full on argument betweeen him and a few old fogies sitting at a table sipping coffee. At least that’s what I thought was going on. That’s just how we discuss things round here” as one of the elders put it to me after I asked«What is going on here?» Jessie was like«What do you want?» Kinda reminds me of Al Pacino. After I told him my order he started getting on this one guy coming into the place with a cup in his hand and said, «HEY, go freeload somewhere else!!» Get outta Heer! And the guy brashley says AHhhh hush yourself. Then they started talking shop while Jessie heated up my sausage rolls. I was a little shocked but at the same time it was amusing and cool to see all this going on. Well, this place is the type you want around in your neighborhood because I think it’s good to have people knowing about the goings on around the hood. Did I mention, the Donuts are delish?

Jessie’s donuts give Krispie Kremes a bad name! These donuts just melt in your mouth! When you are lucky enough to get there when they are warm… WATCHOUT… because you can eat 6 of them before you realize you’ve done it! Trust me, I’ve done it before(sad to admit). Best donut that will EVER touch your taste buds and don’t even get me started on the warm donut holes… hang on — I have to wipe the druel off my chin! If you are in River Oaks, give em a try. Jesse can sometimes be a little shall we say«harsh» depending on his mood but I guess since his donuts are so good he thinks he can but his wife Charlie makes up for his jerkiness. She’s amazing and if the donuts weren’t enough, her precious personality will make you want to come back! LOVES those donuts!!!
