I just moved from another 1st Lake property, Oak Creek. I loved that complex as well. They are both very well managed, in my opinion. They’re quick with their responses, and quick with maintenance, and both staffs have treated me with great respect. They make you feel like you’re their favorite tenant. I am very happy with 1st Lake! AND Citrus Creek.

Lived here for over a year. The apartments are pricey, but you are paying for the location. They just updated the outside of the apartments and they look much nicer now. However, the inside still needs work. Old, out dated appliances. About half of the dishes come out of the dishwasher dirtier than when you put them in. No microwave. On hot days 88 degrees or more, the AC doesn’t cool below 76 degrees(we are on the top floor) with the AC running all day long and cooling bills going up and up. I’m guessing the apartments below don’t have the same problem. So DON’T LIVEONTHETOPFLOOR. We have had to call maintenance multiple times both summers here to add freon to the AC. You also have to pick up air filters for the AC from the office and change them yourself. I’ve lived in many apartments, and this is a first for me. It’s not that it is difficult, but the office isn’t open just any time. I work similar hours to when they are open, so it makes it more difficult. The fridge is small and the ice maker makes yellow-brown ice. Maintenance is great. They do the best they can to fix the shitty appliances. They respond to calls very quickly in my opinion. There is a nice running trail/dog walking trail with pet poop pick up stations which are very convenient, but there are a lot of careless people who do not pick up after their pets. I’ve stepped in dog poop too many times. Also, people can’t seem to figure out how to place their trash in the garbage dumpsters. There are three near the exit gate; the first one is always full with tons of trash bags placed near the dumpster on the ground. The other two are usually empty. I guess what I’m saying is that there are some low quality people living here. This reminded me of something else that happened: my fiancé had two of her hubcaps stolen off her Jetta. They do have garages, but the ones near my apartment were all full; I think they go quick. They have pools, but they are small and always dirty.

DONOTLIVEHERE. This is by far the worst place I have ever lived, and not to mention way overpriced for what it is(old outdated appliances, carpet that wasn’t installed properly, the whole place needs to be renovated). The staff is friendly until you have problems or something breaks then they act like its not their job to fix things. They will try and take your whole deposit for normal wear and tear, and try and charge you on top of that. The maintenance is rude and be prepared never to be able to sleep in the blow the paths every freaking morning, have the ever heard of a broom. Not to mention they painted the buildings and damaged my property and even spray painted my DOG. Plus you can hear everything your neighbors do above you. Plus there is an animal weight limit of 25lbs I can’t tell you how many big dogs i’ve seen pit bulls, labs, and bulldogs, so clearly they are not checking that. Don’t let them fool you with the nice grounds which by the way we had a sewage pipe overflow outside and it was not cleaned up for over a week, did not smell good at all. Yes I had pets I knew I would have to replace the carpet, but damn I know carpet doesn’t cost over 900 $ to install, especially if they installed what they put in my unit that wasn’t even tacked down in most spots.
