This place is «awesome”(sing it). I’ve been coming here for years and the food has always been delicious. Today I had the asparagus beef and it was amazing. The girls that work there are always friendly and quick to please. If you forget to say no onions (like I did) they’ll take it back and make it over without hesitation. Like I said awesome food and awesome service. My go to dishes are Kung pao shrimp and general chicken. Put it on your must try list if you go there.

I was completely horrified when I ate here. The back kitchen was hosing the place down and the same guy who was touching the hose was also touching all the food. The cashier had a take it or leave it attitude. Definitely this place needs a health department call!!! I work in healthcare industry and wouldn’t be surprised if someone got food poisoning from here because of the cross contamination.

There was an ownership change and the food wasn’t so good. We decided to try it again last night and were very happy with our food. The pot stickers are back to being wonderful and the wor chowmein is once again awesome. I thought the lemon chicken was a bit dried out, but the other dishes were fine. The staff is very friendly and the restaurant is clean.

Just got this last night and got horribly sick. Nice staff but I’ve never been this sick off food. I won’t be returning.

Must have changed owners, maybe even twice since my last review. It is really suffering now. No more great kung pao. No more yummy mongolean beef. No more reasons to come to Riverbank for Chinese or phở.

My family and I go found this place couple of years ago. The staff is friendly, attentive and accurate. The Phở is piping Hot, and the Chinese food is tasty. Minnie’s Restaurant has the best Pot Stickers, and I believe that Golden Chopsticks gives them a run for their money. Great location, near Galaxy Theater in Riverbank, so you can see a movie the get your grub on!

First time trying this place. Not a good experience. Ordered a teryaki bowl to go. Chicken was dry. The beef was severely over cooked and charred. The restraunt is clean. Prices are okay, but for what I received I feel is now over priced. Don’t think I’ll go again.

I stopped here on a whim for the first time 2 days ago, my nephew had said that this place was very good. I found this establishment to be a very clean one, nice waitress. I had the sweet and sour chicken w/​pork fried rice and pork chow mein, one of the basics that any Chinese and in this case Vietnamese restaurant should be able to do well. I wasn’t disappointed, it was excellent, the chicken had a pleasant crunch and a good tart flavor and the sweet wasn’t overly sweet. Good Chow mein and fried rice, I’ll be returning, and next try a bowl of their Vietnamese Phở. (Pronounced Fuuh)

Love this place it gets busy but it’s worth it! I love the garlic chicken! The people are nice & friendly!

It’s not the same since the change in ownership. Nice people, but food is not the same.

I used to come here a lot when I lived in the area. I now live in Manteca, so the last time I ate here was when they first switched owners and it was still good. Since I work at the new Ulta in Riverbank, I decided to swing by for take out. First of all, the prices are significantly higher! I used to get my combo meal for around $ 5, and now it was almost $ 8! The lady working there was nice and I was in and out quick. I had planned on eating in my car, until I realized that they didn’t give me any utensils… So I ended up not being able to eat it until later. Finally when I got a fork, the Kung pow sauce tasted pretty much the same, which I was very happy about. However, my chicken was extremely scarce, thin, and dry. My fried rice was a little bland and not so fried, but I don’t like it fried so much anyway. Chow mein was great. Over all I was very disappointed in the rise of price and drop in quality… Not sure I’ll be coming back as often as I had hoped.

Ate there last night. Recommended by a friend and grabbed it to go. The service was really great but I was a little disappointed by rice and entrees. Rice was pretty bland; orange and lemon chicken could have had more sauce. Chow mein was great! Would I go back? Perhaps, but won’t be my «must have» place.

Thanks to this place! We got food poisoning. I knew it was to good too be true when all the food we ordered (4 dishes) was done within 10 minutes. Missing the old owners…

I’m hooked on the phở, service is good and prices are reasonable. Not much to be desired for the atmosphere but I prefer takeout. Keep it up!

Ever since ownership changed food changed. We will never be back. No flavor and food actually made us sick. We have tried it now three times since prior owner Sam had left, so… so sad. Miss you Sam.

I have been a long time lover of this place and their food, but ever since it changed ownership I keep getting disappointed. Case and point… today I went there specifically for the wor wonton soup because I’m feeling a little under the weather, and it always makes me feel better. I waited at the counter for 5 – 7 minutes before I was even acknowledged. The young woman behind the counter was surly and short everytime I asked a question; rushing me with my order. Needless to say I was very put off. Then when I get home I find that my wor wonton soup is regular wonton soup! That was the final straw not just the fact they stopped making pork spring rolls… they have officially lost my buisness.

This is a great place to get your phở fix in Riverbank. Wait, it is the only place you can get phở in Riverbank. Phở here is great! It is less salty than any other phở you have had and still has an great taste. From now on I will get my phở fix here.
