Replanet Recycling

First time coming here… Now I know why I hate recycling. I arrive at 9:20 thinking they’ll be open. No. That’s okay though I’ll come back at 10:00. Well 9:54. The guy says wait until 10:00 on the dot. Because he had to clean. Maybe I’m being too picky but so far the customer service blows… Oakdale has a way better place to recycle than this rutty POS.
Oh and the self serve part is non crushed cans and bottle only. Doh! Our house crushes everything!

I’ve had it with this company. I’m mostly upset with the one in Escalon. The first time I went there, the employee was extremely polite and helpful. That was early last year. I haven’t been able to do business at the one in Riverbank because each time I’ve gone by, there was no employee there. I had way too many recyclables to stand there and put them in one by one at the machine. There has never been an employee there when I’ve come by. The last time I wen to the one in Escalon, I left incredibly offended and angry because of the way I was treated by the employee. He was a jerk to everybody who was there. He would not accept all of my glass saying he could only accept half a barrel from each person because he was almost full. What didn’t make sense was I was the last person he allowed to turn in my stuff because he was closing. He then set an empty barrel out by my stuff after telling me to start loading my stuff into their barrels. I already loaded some but couldn’t load anymore because another patron was there using barrels. As he walked out to talk to tell another car he was closing, he set an empty barrel right by my stuff, so I began filling it. He then came back and accused me of taking the barrel he was using for tare weight from inside the building. I never went anywhere near going inside the building and I didn’t take anything from him. But he kept accusing me of it. When I told him he set a barrel outside by my stuff, I think he realized it was his mistake and he went inside not saying anything. Shortly thereafter, he was working in the building and swearing out loud. I really would’ve been upset if I had my young daughter with me and she heard that. There was a young child in another car of a customer there and the windows were down. Hopefully that little girl didn’t hear him. Lately this location hasn’t had an employee at it either. I usually won’t complain about an employee to a company, but I was treated so terrible and this guy was such a jerk that I just had to. The company emailed me back and semi-​apologized, but made excuses for him and just said they would talk to him. I guess that works for me, there’s a chance he was just having a bad day and I wouldn’t want him to lose his job on my encounter alone, but I still guess they could’ve been more apologetic to me. Thankfully I found another recycling location in Riverbank. They are very friendly at the new location. Its a longer drive for me, but I will be going there from now on.

Was well-​run up until this winter. No longer. They do not pay for glass. Their excuse is that Gallo and other companies no longer pay for it???
Trash everywhere thanks to the off-​hours «clientele» that leave anything they do no want.
