Riverdale Plaza Liquors

I love this place!
Just moved here, and I was looking for a good, reliable, non-​sketchy liquor store that could do more than serve the frat scene. The Korean family that seems to own this place, as well as the other workers, are SUPER nice. The selection of hard alcohol is really, really solid — a great range from top to bottom! The pricing is very competitive compared to what I’m used to, especially for the stuff that isn’t going to automatically burn off your stomach lining. They even have the little bottles of wine that I like to cook with!
The one thing I would ask for is a better selection of wine, but yeah, I know most people around here probably aren’t looking for that. They definitely have a better selection than Shoppers on route 1 — more variety. All of it is stuff that is recognizable and inexpensive, so that could be good or bad for you depending on what you want. I guess I’m just spoiled because my old go-​to in a strip mall in Massachusetts was surprisingly good at both liquor and wine — good staples, as well as splurges you could pick up when you needed to apologize to your wine-​loving significant other. :)
