This club is the epitome of ghetto fabulous. It’s not as hood as the old Ritz but it’s not far from it. I was not impressed. There were dudes in there than were at the million man march. If you’re trying to meet some women with a little class this is not the place for it. If you want to hang out with nothing else to do read a book and don’t waste your time.

The Ritz… I had fun the first time I went back in the summer of 2009. This club was really popular back then. Parking would be crazy so you would have to get there early to be able to even park in the back. Then I went a few more times that summer and it got worse each time. The last time I went to The Ritz was the end of 2009 and it sucked, BIGTIME! The club itself is nice but the people are so ghetto and un-classy. Eww I can’t see myself ever returning.

All the reviews are correct in their review. I went this past sunday. Cover charge was $ 20. for men and $ 10 for women because I was told there would be celebrities in there. Some local hip hop artist whose names I forgot with exception to shorty Lo. The crowd was thin which was good. I only wished there were more upscale(in wardrobe and stillettos that is) females up in there. There were a few but not enough compared to the amt of dudes up in there. The décor is upscale and calls for an upscale crowd. Also, I understand that the DJ has to play to the crowd but I’m from the 90’s generation where we like to boogie/dance. I ain’t with this new form of dancing. The men are afraid to ask women to dance with exception to maybe a few and it seems like the only few females on the dance floor were those who looked like they had experience dancing in the in the strip joints which is cool. To the DJ… unite the two genders by playing selections that’ll get in on the dance floor. I went back this past friday on 18 and over night where I stood in free to get in line about 3 hrs until I decided to jump over the ramp to get in the $ 20 to get in line. Once I got in, I began remembering the same ambiance it had the last time I was in. The crowd is lost with only knowing how to stand around and look at each other like their crazy. No dress code invites the crowd with no sense of ethicate in knowing how to socialize. The women don’t know how to socialize. Some females I began chatting with asked me to buy them some drinks so I did. I told one of em that I like her but I didn’t get any reciprocation back. After buying them drinks, the girl who I was looking at starting shaking her ass on another dudes groin gyrating like I like but still. Damn woman, you see I’m the one who bought you a drink but you gone give another n***ga the business and leave me hanging like a fool. Afterwards, they gone tell me they going to the bathroom and they’ll be right back. I knew right off they were giving me the slip/okey doke. I’m shaking my head at these dumb broads thinking they done got over on me with my buying them drinks. They only hurting themselves using them skank ass tactics. What guy is gone take these broads serious with trying to make them their wives one day? None I highly bet. Every broad/chick I approached with precision meet and greet conversation turned me down though like I had a disease on my face or something. The crowd is too ghetto, immature. I was told sunday is the best night. This is not true if your looking for a mature crowd where people know how to dance and have a good time according to how folks partied back in the 80’s and 90’s. The females don’t know how to appreciate a good man when one approaches. They’d rather have a ni***ga come up behind em, grab their ass and start grinding on em which ain’t bad if it’s me. I paid $ 12 for a double shot of Jack Daniels which is too damn expensive for my taste. You’ll go broke trying to get tipsy plus, the mix drinks I had seemed watered down. This was my last time going to this club period.

I used to LOVE the local feel of the old ritz down the street, I wish they would have still kept that open. But the new one, is very nice especially since its on the south side because once you step inside you forget your in college park or riverdale or wherever this is exaclty located. no seats, vip is on a stage and upstairs. pool tables behind the walls on both sides, its a huge circle dancefloor so when you walk around your literally going in a circle. music is fairly good. hood clubbing at its finest.

I’ve been a fan of the Ritz for along time. I manly loved the ritz before they moved and remodled because it was more of a club/lounge. But the new Ritz is a great place to party. The lines are rediculus, I mean who wants to stand in lind for a hour with 4in heals on! One you get inside, it’s very nice. I must say there are not a lot of places fo sit tho. You will be standing all night long, which I find very uncomfortalbe. The DJ is on point, they play alot of commerial music, but also alot of local dirty south music. They have a huge parking lot but be prepared to park across the street because, it’s packed as hell!

MONDAYWHATSUP? I went on a Monday, because that is my Saturday. I went because there was a high mark from a patron at the club where I work. I knew there were would be a hip hop crowd, but I went n e way. I got there around 9 pm and it was empty. I was there for the dolllllla Margaritas, yes one dollar margaritas and free crab legs. Thats to Geo. Bush, businesses are feeding me and my posse for free several times a week. See I said something nice about GB Jr. I enjoyed some of the best crab legs I have ever eaten, the dolla margarita was not half bad either. Now you know that it was not PATRON but after 5 of them I got a buzzzzzzzzzzzzzz. On Tuesday, I did not have a hangover-thank you! There was an open mic contest, there was some local yocals jammin to there own ATLBEAT. The southern hip hop sound. I was grubbing so hard on the free crab legs that I could not give a DAMN about the show. They also served a flavored rice and hand breaded chicken wings, like I said dayum. This is an awesome deal for a sista on a budget. Also, the mc said someone was signed in the past month at this place. I am more of an eater than a performer… hahhahaha Even after giving the barkeep a heft 10 dollar tip, it still was a relatively cheeeep evening!

I went to this club the other night. Its a very nice sized place with plenty of seating ranging from bar chairs to giant leather sofas. There are two large dance floors on either side to shake your booty. The Ritz is a Hip-Hop club so expect lots of dirty south music but they do mix it up with a little reggae and an occasional electric slide song once in a while. Dress is casual. Jeans are ok, but don’t expect to get any dances or phone numbers if you aren’t sufficiently geared up. On Friday and Saturday nights it tends to get packed with people. Expect thick smoke and maybe a contact high from weed in the air. There are usually more men than women(as usual) but enough women there to make it worthwhile. Cover 10 $ $ 3 drinks on Wednesdays Male strippers on Fridays before 10pm
