Drive past this place many times on way to Palm Springs. thought it might be fun to check it out for breakfast. .a local hang out?
We were there around 9:00am and there was only one table with patrons. It is not a restaurant. You order at counter and then sit down. The place is dilapitated and in need of a Restaurant Impossible make over! But I was hungry.
I decided on chorizo and eggs as the cook looked Mexican and I thought he’d do a good job. NOT! Couldn’t even taste the eggs there was so much chorizo. The hashbrowns were hardly cooked and didn’t look appetizing. The refried beans were flavorful but less than tepid in temp. I took it back and asked for a «do over» or to order something else. The server took the plate back.
The «do over» was hardly that. Really looked the same. I ate a few bites of the eggs with beans in a corn torilla and left the rest. A real rip off. $ 10.00 I am not one to leave food. If I had a dog, I’d give it to them. The coffee was good. Had three cups.
Mom had biscuits and gravy. I guess it was Ok. she ate three biscuits.
Just pass… never again.
