Budget Your Event

When planning big parties it’s so much easier and convenient to just book someone to cook for your guests. I had a budget made out for my son’s first birthday and they certainly fit the bill, but you do get what you pay for.
The Pros:
The grand total for taco service for 100 guests was $ 430.
–Included rice, beans, and condiments.
–Included 100 chairs, and 9 round tables, one rectangular table.
–Included a jumper.
–Chairs and tables were delivered two days ahead.
–Chairs and tables were picked up a week after party.
–Food tasted great, and meat was cooked from scratch on site (not precooked like other taco services).
The Cons:
–There was a lack of effective communication. I always had to call and write several emails to inquire about my existing order, to confirm taco sampling appointment, to confirm set up appointment, etc.
–When the chairs arrived, they didn’t all match, they were two toned, some were grey and some were off-​white; Not great when you’ve put a lot of effort into the coordinating party theme.
–The jumper was very faded and old, it didn’t look very nice in the background of pictures.
–I invited 75 guests, and there was not enough taco meat for everyone, the portioning was off, and we ran out of food into the second hour of the party. Only rice and beans were left remaining. Very embarrassing.
Overall, though the price was right, there is room for some significant improvement in their services. I probably would not book again.
