I’ve been to the Canyon Crest Winery several times. The first was not long after they opened and I have to admit, I didn’t think they would make it. What they do is very nice, but it seemed to me there would be a limited clientele in Riverside for them. I guess that is not the case and I’m glad because I really enjoy going for wine tasting and I’ve been to some special events that were fun and been to private parties given by groups I’m associated with. I loved getting my own bottle of wine with a personalized label«Good Without God»! The owners are very welcoming and I think the reviewer who felt a «pretentious vibe» was looking for it, so that’s what she found. Please drop in to the Canyon Crest Winery, enjoy a wine tasting, buy a bottle or two to take home. You won’t be sorry!

I love this place! The owners, Kevin and Carolyn, are incredibly friendly and welcoming. The wines are great! My favorites are the cab/syrah/zin and the pinot noir. My husband really likes the sparking wine. The fruit wines are also good and the coffee port is delicious! You can bring in your own food, which we like to do when we come for the live music. They regularly have musicians and comedians perform on the weekends. Once a month there is a really fun ‘paint ‘n’ sip’ event where an artist slowly walks you through making a painting and you get a glass of wine. I took my mother-in-law to a class and we both liked how ours came out.

I love the Canyon Crest winery and their owners. Love the wine, environment and such warm and friendly service. We come once a month with our NAFE meeting(National Association of Female Executives) and every time it is really is a joy. I have also had some bottles private labeled for my vendors during Christmas and they were a total success. We are planning to join one of their wine and paint sessions very soon. So if you have never visited them, check them out. Its a great place!

The management or i should say the ownership stinks. They have 0 sales skills, they lack friendliness or enthusiasm for their business. I drive clear to Rancho Cucamonga winery to have custom labels done for me now even though Ive been a resident for decades. I try really hard to support local businesses but ive received the same service on to many occasions.

We stopped in on a Monday, keep in mind they are actually closed. Talk about customer service!!! Ended up with a little tour of the entire process &3 bottles of wine. Want to go back and do a tasting and possibly buy the half /full options. Full option is 26 bottles for 250 – 300 bucks. Do the math that’s 10, Bucks a bottle. Customized to your palette & your own label…

Five dollar tastings are what brought us in but we have been apart of the wine club for almost a year we do reds which are our fave you get one tasting every month so when we pick up our bottle we sample some diff ones … My favorite is one mixed with a cognac I forget the name but it’s strong they give you a little baby glass to sample out of .so good it’s nice to try something new every month and to support a local wine shop instead of stopping at the store… owners are really nice the wife who helps with tastings is funny especially when she’s had a little wine really know their product… really nice couple :) it’s local which I love you can bottle your own or have parties even with group bottling I’ve seen a couple times looks fun will have to do one soon :)

I KNOW I KNOW block me if you want because what I will say is rather complex. To be blunt, We LOVEDTHEIRPRODUCTS… ONLY. To say this about any food/drink product in Riverside well its rare, you need to drive at least 20 – 30 minutes for quality stuff. Being our, second home, I would come back to this place to either buy the stuff and leave asap or come during a busy night. Back story: Personally I had been trying to die this place because I recently got into wine, yes I am «young» and«not rich» so I get the whole stereotype.(Btw bottle pricing not bad) Anyways we saw people to my surprise and we went in. Well everyone looked at us in a weird way and they were having some sort of tasting. Cool my bad next time put a sign that there is a private event going on. We got this pretentious vibe but we gave it another chance. Went again on a rainy day which was the perfect backdrop and there was the male/owner? and the lady/owner? and I was literally hoping that he would help us out because he just had better vibes but she served us. So we did 2 wine tastings(White & Reds) which we fell in love with, but the whole experience was extremely awkward. The lady is too calm, I can not speak for her and accuse her of fakeness, but if WE(me and s/o) both felt the same type of awkwardness then there was something wrong. It was such a bittersweet feeling because we loved the wines but wanted to leave Asap. Put it this way I feel so bad expressing the whole exact experience because I don’t want to offend her. At the same I felt extremely offended by the pretentious service given to us. Also if you check in you get«2 free wine tastings» so what we got basically. I misunderstood and thought it 2 glasses of wine, cheese & rice, the look I got for saying this. Anyways we ended up getting a bottle, NOT because we technically got the«2 wine tastings» free but because the wine was so delicious :( DOTRY the Jalapeño one, she recommended to finish with that which was the nicest thing she said/did the whole time. FIRSTWORLDPROBLEMS. Sigh. P.S I’ll probably be back when I am old and rich.

What an interesting little place! We were on our way back to OC from Palm Springs and desperately wanted a little wine tasting experience. Waze brought us to Canyon Crest«Winery.» Turns out, this is a little wine room in a Ralph’s parking lot! Not the ideal vibe for wine tasting, but our expectations weren’t very high to begin with. We called ahead to find out if we could bring our dog, and we could! Score! We were greeted by a nice man, who turned out to be the owners son. He was extremely knowledgable in the wine department, which always makes for a fun experience. The wine is really good! They make and bottle it all right there! Not the BEST looking bottles, but I like the concept of being able to customize your own label. We even got to try a super unique spicy jalapeño wine! The tasting was extremely reasonably priced at $ 6 each and all in all, we were glad we stopped by!

A winery? In Riverside? In the middle of Canyon Crest? No really, it’s a winery! They make good fruit infused wines, as well as sell certain varietals. The people that run this place are super friendly, and very relaxed. My then girlfriend, now Wife, absolutely loves them. Come to think of it, it’s been a minute since we’ve been in, so looks like I’ll have to get back there sometime very soon!

I bought 2 red wine, 1 white wine, and champagne for my wedding. It was reasonably priced. Plus, the Chilean Syrah is my favorite! The opener showed us where they make their wine, tasted some wine, and bought it. I highly recommend them!

First time here. I liked the wines, its very hard to find a winery with sweet fruit wines that i like. This place is very small and does not have enough employees. Be prepared to wait while tasting. They have live jazz and paint n sip night which i definitely want to try out. The male owner was very nice. However, the co-owner i believe it was his wife refused to allow my friend and i to taste any of the wines that were not already open. But when the blonde haired man next to us wanted to try an unopened wine she immediately opened it for him no questions asked. I hate to mention the race card but… ijs.. Nevertheless when we asked the male owner for a sample of the unopened wines he was very quick to open a bottle no questions asked. He was very nice, it was because of him that I will be back. Maybe the wife wasn’t realizing how rude it was so I do believe in 2nd chances.

I liked it here they have alot of fruity wines which I love. The only thing I don’t like is with the tasting the person just poors wht thy want you to taste. I want to say can i try a certain kind. I became mbr here so that was cool. The only thing that did bother me is the person that was giving us the wine tasting opened up a new bottle for a gentleman but, whn we asked to taste a certain wine she stated they didn’t have one open. Im thinkn well open it then, like you did for him. But, we did end up tasting it because we asked the man and thn the lady then opened it. I also don’t like that when you want to taste a wine she state’s its not chilled. Even though I did join if this continues I will cancel after my 6 months contract with them, overall I did enjoy this little spot.

I went here for Valentines Day. This cute boutique winery is located inside the Canyon Crest plaza – next to Rite Aids across from Ralph’s. Their white wines are smooth and easy to drink. Their fruit wines are very light in alcohol – not my flavor. I love their ports especially the caramel and Black Forest –I purchased 6 of these. The ice wines tasted like heavy-I also picked 6 bottles of these. I really recommended this place if you are into dessert wines. Tasting is $ 5 for 6 tastes per person which is affordable.

Super cute hole in the wall store owned and operated by the sweetest married couple! Me and my boyfriend went here to celebrate Valentine’s Day using the Unilocal coupon deal and it was definitely worth it! The wines were delicious and we needed to 2 bottles home with us because they were so good! Awesome place to hang out with friends or hold a small party. Definitely would recommend to couples too!

Cute little boutique tasting room. All of their wines are unique«blends» so don’t look for your basic reds and white. You won’t find them here. A nice little place to enjoy some sips and buy a bottle or 2.

Fun, local winery! Loved the malbec. If you’re in the area you should check it out– they mull their own wine. Inexpensive tastings, but i left with 4 bottles!
